Had Fraxel done on my arms 1 week ago to treat stretch marks. The procedure was done by a doctor so I assumed I was in good hands. Wrong! Even though I had the numbing cream on for more than an hour, the pain was horrible and my pain threshold is pretty high. It felt like someone was running a hot poker with needles into my skin. Afterward I felt mild pain and had swelling but after 2 days, the pain and itchiness intensified. A week later, I have dark red burn marks on my arms and constant itchiness and mild pain. I called the office to ask if this was normal and the nurses said it was but I haven't heard or read that it was nor did the doctor give me any post-op care routine...she brushed me off whenever I had questions. I now have an appointment with another dermatologist to see if I have second degree burns.
