“Does not work on deep scarring”

Fraxel Laser: NOT worth it

Cost: $5,200
Pain: Mild
Fraxel Laser satisfaction: Poor1 Star Rating: Poor

I had 4 fraxel Laser treatments. The first was five months ago. During the process I had all of the staff telling my "HOW GREAT MY SKIN LOOKED" which did not sit right with me due to I knew and my family/friends did not see a big difference! Still Severe Acne Scarring! I have Deep pit and ice-pic scarring that the fraxel does not work on, or does not go deep enough to correct.

I was very unhappy with the results so my doctor recommended TCA Cross, that also did not provide results! So, I went back in to my doctor's office and now she is suggesting 2 subcision (Subcutaneous Incision) followed by 2 Fraxel Laser Treatments.

Just wondering if anyone had this done and the results?? All I can say if you are unhappy with your treatment, keep speaking to your doctor on this and ask for different methods that can be done, also it should be free of charge!

Please also make sure your doctor does not give you false hope. If you are looking for 80 to 100% difference, it will not happen!!

Doctor's are happy with 50% difference. So you really have to have an open relationship with your doctor, know you expectations and figure if the cost is worth it.

I found the best surgeon for acne scarring in my hometown. I had deep scars the size of my nails. big indents. Besides that I have open pores. My skin was horrible. I have spent $10,000.00 in surgeries. But since I met my Doctor who is fabulous I kept going back to him and now my skin looks better. He did first fat transfer, then he did subcision and (another thing) at the same time, to elevate the skin. Well, he left me like a shallow on my left cheeck but he corrected it. I think was because I didn't follow the posttreatment properly. The only thing that I don't like much it's the fraxel. I had it done first in New Jersey and this Doctor/surgeon screw my skin. So I'm gonna have the second treatment with my hometown Doctor. I just think fraxel changes the color of the skin. I looked a little darker (uneven)
