“Very Natural Result from Juvederm”

Having read the negative reviews for juvederm I was nervous to say the least but turned up for my appointment as I am sick of looking so old and tired and figured I couldn't look any worse.  I am 40 and have always looked young for my age, but the result of my naturally fine skin and years of living in the sun have taken its toll and I have recently noticed fine lines, particularly from  my nose to mouth and everything feels as though its beginning to head south....

I spent 2 months researching plastic surgeons and dermatologists and finally chose one recommended to me by some friends.  I can't say his bed-side manner was great, there again he is French, but I have to say the results are amazing.

He injected my smile lines, marrionette lines and also the corners of my mouth with juvederm ultra which were beginning to turn down.  The worse part of the whole treatment was the lidocaine, local anaesthetic that the nurse injected inside my mouth - 2 days later I still feel sore at the injection sites plus I have lumps - lucky noone can see them.  I cannot say I enjoyed the experience but it was over within about 15 minutes and I felt fine. 

I experienced no bruising whatsoever and I can feel no lumps under the skin - I know other people have suffered from this.  The results are subtle, my skin feels plumped up and lifted around the cheek area and my smile lines are greatly reduced.  I have 2 tiny injection marks which will obviously go.  It does feel a bit strange when I smile, I guess I have to get used to the feel of the filler.

My surgeon has asked me to come back in 2 weeks so he can check to see if I need any more juvederm (I still have 1 syringe left) or if things need evening out.  To be honest I love the subtle difference and don't want to fall into the trap of injecting too much. 

So far so good - I love it!
