In 2012 I had the gastric sleeve weight loss...

In 2012 I had the gastric sleeve weight loss surgery. I lost 115 pounds in two years and felt great! I started running and completed several 5K races and signed up for my first half marathon in May of 2015.

I got complements where ever I went, and that felt great. But I wasn't completely satisfied. Yes, I looked slender from the outside, but once I took off my clothes I was very disappointed in what I saw. My breasts, one time a D, were now empty bags. They couldn't sit in a push up bra with out bubbling over the top or slipping under the bottom. My stomach hung low over my pubic area.

I worked hard to get to where I was. Weight loss surgery isn't the easy way out. It takes work. So I decided to make another change. I contacted Dr. Beck in Foster City, Ca and scheduled a breast lift and augmentation.

Today is day 3 after my procedure. I definitely have discomfort, but nothing that can't be reduced with some prescription drugs. I have a lot of swelling and these damn drains are bugging me! But I know it will all work out. I go to my post op today and am crossing my fingers that the drains will be removed.

The recovery is not easy, but the results will be so worth it! If you're considering breast lift and/or augmentation, go for it. The important thing to remember is to keep up on your pain meds. I'm finding that if I don't take them when needed I start to despair. I question why I did this, what did I do to myself. Then I realize I'm in pain and that can be controlled.
