Just a quick update

WORTH IT
So its been about a year and a half since I had my reduction and I can honestly say that I'm still happy with my results and even more glad that I didn't wait any longer to have it done. I still have back pain some days, but I think that's more because of my job than anything else and its nothing in comparison to the pain I dealt with on a daily basis before. Its kind of crazy to look back at old pictures of myself from before surgery and then right after and realize what a HUGE difference there is. Its eve more unbelievable that I was carrying around so much extra weight on my chest for so long. I've really been enjoying the new freedom that this has given me to wear whatever I want (i.e. bras that come in colors other than black, white, and beige, button down tops, and spaghetti strap tops), not have to wear two bras to exercise, and not have to deal with people's stares and comments about my large breasts. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is seriously considering having a reduction to go for it!

Thanks for sharing your story I am just starting out. I have initial consultations booked for mid February :-)
Thanks for sharing. I am just embarking on the process and this was a great confirmation!
I’m also looking for a dr . I am also wondering why you never posted pics? Would love to see the nipple and scars. That’s high on my worry list! Allergic reaction to the tapes is another concerning matter for me, since I’m allergic to adhesive & bacitracin, latex as well.
Hi, I see the pics ! Thanks! The view I was seeing of your review story did not have pic. I see them now
I'd say to just be sure that your surgeon is well aware of your allergies so they can have some alternatives available for you. Best of luck!

Going great

Things have been going pretty good. I think the healing has come along quite nicely and though I do have visible scars I'm pretty happy with them thus far. My only complaint is that I still have those moments where I feel pretty itchy but nothing in comparison to the itchiness I had right after surgery when I still had paper tape on. I'm still in wire free bras, but I go to the doc for another follow up next month and I'm hoping she says I can wear underwire again since I've got 10+ "old" bras that are in good condition, practically new, and actually fit me now. Plus, I'd like to be able to buy me some nice bra and panty sets for the first time ever.

Doing well

I went to the PS today for another follow-up visit. She was pleased with my healing thus far and was happy with the way my scars have turned out . I'm free to start increasing my activity and wear whatever bra I want so long as it doesn't have underwire. I can even start sleeping on my stomach once its comfortable, though I think its going to be a while since I still have a decent amount of swelling. I got instructions on scar massage, my release for work(I go back next Wednesday), and my next appointment date which is in October.
I'm still happy with my size and how things are going. I've not had any of my usual back or neck pain and I've been wearing some of the tops that I bought last summer but never really wore because they looked so awkward. Now they fit and look so much better. I'm really lad that I had this done and glad that I didn't keep putting it off.
