21 Yr Old Who Finally Has Breasts! - Folsom, CA

Upon arriving at the Folsom Plastic Surgery and Laser Center for my Breast Augmentation, I was taken care of right away. The first thing they had me do was give a urine sample to ensure that I was not pregnant. Then I was brought back to a room where I was asked to remove all my clothes and put on a surgical cap, gown and socks. While I waited for my nurse I watched a peaceful documentary of the ocean. The nurse came in to hook up my IV, I wasn't exactly happy with my nurse as she tried 6 times to hook me up and failed. I was so relieved when Dr. Mabourakh came in and set up my IV quickly and painlessly. Before he left the room he assured me that the anaesthesiologist would be in shorty. Dr. Herrman was the anaesthesiologist scheduled for my surgery, I would suggest to others to request him as their anaesthesiologist because he is so fantastic. I was feeling a little nervous when he entered my room because of all the times I had been stuck by my nurse, and he could sense my anxiety and gave me some medicine through my IV to help. He was very kind and funny, when it was time to bring me to surgery he was by my side along with Gina, Dr. Mabourakh's assistant. Gina and Dr. Herrmann were wonderful and treated me so well while I was being prepped for surgery. Gina cracked a couple jokes and made me laugh so much. It was nice to be so at ease before surgery. When it was time to be put to sleep Dr. Herrmann set a scene for me to fall asleep to. He told me to imagine I was on a beach and the water was barely touching my toes going back and forth. Gina told me when I wake up I'll have the perfect boobs for a bikini on that beach. And just like that I was out. When I woke up it felt like no time had passed, I also woke up very comfortable and pain-free. I looked down and couldn't believe my eyes, I had two large lovely lumps protruding from my chest. I couldn't stop smiling. The nurse helped me get back into my clothes and wheeled me out to my car where my boyfriend was waiting for me. Before I had even woke up the staff had given him all the information he needed to take care of me.
I'm so happy with my experience with Dr. Mabourakh and his staff. Dr. Mabourakh is a very skilled and gentle surgeon, I had no bruising whatsoever and was comfortable through out my recovery. I was able to stop using my pain medications before I even ran out.
I am also very impressed with how thorough my after care is. 4 days after my surgery, Dr. Mabourakh checked my incisions and snipped the ends of my stitches off. Then at exactly one month post operation I had another appointment where he showed me how to properly massage my implants to help them drop and soften. I have another follow up appointment in march. Dr. Mabourakh and his staff genuinely care about their patients before and after surgery. It is impressive how thorough they are with checking up on patients after surgery. I highly recommend that anyone in the Folsom/Sacramento area looking to have any cosmetic procedure to come have a consultation with Dr. Mabourakh.
