I had a mini tummy tuck on May 17th,2010. I am 5'0 and weighed 104lbs at the time of surgery. I had loose skin from two pregnancys on my lower abdomen that no diet and exercise would mke go away. I also had many stretch marks and several over my belly button. My PS explained that the stretch marks would prob not be much improved after mini TT, and belly button would be "floated" down. I guess I expected just a few flat stretch marks above BB not this blob of scar tissue! Upset that I can not wear bikini now even after this procedure.

PS said I did not have enough skin above BB to pull down? He suggested we try laser on skin above BB at 6 weeks Post OP. Any advice? Could an umbilicoplasty revision help this?

i am also in Florida and was recently told the exact same thing during my initial consult ( i can't have a full tummy tuck and that i should get laser on the belly button). I haven't had the procedure yet, but am trying to decide if the mini tummy tuck will provide me with the look I want. The way my belly button looks now is AWFUL, but the idea of pulling it down a bit is semi-appealing. Do you have any pictures of your before and after?
