day 5 and I am still happy ,I am swollen i kept taking the binder on/off to potty so I think I may have cause more swelling than necessary.I am now GONNA KEEP THE BINDER ON AND ANOTHER GIRDLE TOO !!! I should get drains removed on Tues. happy healing;)

day 7 I am feeling really good today ..swelling has gone down a little,my belly form is not like day 2 which was flatter..but hopeful that the swelling doesn't stretch me so much. I am optimistic that PS did a take off as much as possible.

Love your screen name!!! Hey welcome to RealSelf and thank you for your post. I look forward to seeing your pictures and reading your posts as you go through the process.
So how did you find your doctor? And did you meet with more than one?
But -- I'm really glad that I did it.
Here are a few tips that I didn't know:
1. Don't expect to wear pajama pants the first few days. You're going to go home with a catheter, pain pump and two drains. All that stuff takes room, and you're going to be more comfortable in a sleepshirt/gown and a robe. Feel free to wear that to your surgery.
2. Whatever you feel is the worst moment in recovery - it will get better. I'm off pain pills five days later. Some people might need longer.
3. If you can get a hold of a walker - do it. I didn't know I would need one - but when you're not able to stand up straight, it gets hard on your back. Particularly those muscles that are bruised from getting lipo. A walker is a good idea for a few days. And it's a good source of humor. You know you won't need it forever.
4. Avoid very funny movies while you are spending time in recovery. They hurt. And you might split your incision. Mildly funny things that won't make you belly laugh are good.
But I had three children, couldn't get rid of my tummy, and I'm already seeing benefits less than a week from surgery! Faster than I expected, since I'd read everything about how you're swollen for several months!
Thank you for your post!! Very helpful :)
your going to b fine, follow your docs directions and plenty of rest post pics let us know how everything went,
Is there anything you have to do before surgery? (Meds, tests, etc.) Best of luck to you! :)
Glad to hear all went well. Now rest and keep us up to date.
Hang in there:) It all get's easier each week.
