I had breast implants 6 years ago. I've always had issues with discomfort in my left breast as well as numbness and my nipple is overly sensitive. My PS decreased the volume in my left breast to relieve the pressure and performed "nerve release" (not sure what that is exactly). Now I can feel the implant moving around and I'm still having issues which is why I want them removed. They look great but the don't feel great.

Is there any surgery to correct the sensitivity in my nipple?

How recently did you have the revision surgery (nerve release, etc)? It might fall under the heading of "too soon", but I would gently suggest you seek out the opinions of at least 2 other board certified plastic surgeons. You might be pleasantly surprised by what you hear during the consults.

I had the revision done in August of 2008. I am planning on going to get a couple of consultations before I make my final decision. But I'm 99.9% sure that I will get them removed.

Breast augmentation should feel great and look great Even if you remove them there is no gurantee that your sensation or that the hypersensitivity will go away. Discuss all that with your plastic surgeon

Yes, I'm sure the damage is permenant but at least getting them removed would alleviate the discomfort of feeling it move around and the rippling. I guess I just wasn't meant to have them.
