After growing up with weight problems that I carried through high school, college and into adult, married life, I decided it was time to get my life together. I was 32 years old, married and wanted a child and I knew I couldn't get pregnant because of my weight. I started off at 313 pounds and I'm now at 226. I still have a ways to go but I'm getting there one pound at a time. I had a gastric bypass and was prepared for almost everything. I did, however, underestimate what a difficult time I would have quitting all my favourite foods. It took several "goodbye" meals, before I could give up my favourite restaurants. Now I'm so glad that I did this. I'm healthier and as soon as I get to my goal weight my husband and I will be trying to a little one. I can't wait to be a mommy!
