I got this procedure to even out skin tone and have a 'fresh' look. I have had microdermabrasion previously with no problems, but his time this esthetician went really deep on one area of my face and caused a terrible scar. It is a year out and it is still there. Make sure you have someone who is skilled. She never took responsibility and made it out to be 'my skin's fault'. I think this is a good procedure in the right hands, but results are short term.

Good procedure in the right hands, but with someone wreckless it can be a disaster.
I'm really sorry to hear you have a scar from this. You raise an excellent point that who performs the procedure is a very important thing to consider.
