Last week, I underwent a bilateral breast mastopexy with augmentation. I am a 40-year old Mom who had extreme ptosis. Having breastfed my daughter for 11 months (she's now 4) and losing 20lbs, did not help my 34C breasts that already lacked density. I discussed my desire to be a large C cup. My physician recommended and used a 320cc high profile saline implant.

The reason for having the procedure performed was not only to improve my overall appearance but lift my self esteem as well. I have wanted this surgery for sometime. Finally I felt comfortable with this physician.

I have been told what I'm experiencing is is normal by my doctor. I would like to hear feedback from other surgeons specializing in this procedure.

I now wear a sports bra which is comfortable but I've also been instructed to wear a band around my chest for at least 2 weeks so the implants will not meet up with my chin (very uncomfortable). The skin between my breasts is so tight and lifted. And I recently saw 'red spots or blisters' on my breasts. Does this all sound normal?

I'm still unsure whether I would recommend him. The reason I chose him out of 6 doctors, he took time to listen to my concerns and explained the procedure and his recommendations fully. I did not feel rushed. And most importantly, he appeared to be much more experienced in this particular procedure (photos, etc.).

Just read your post from last Nov and wondering if your results have improved. I noticed your location is Fayetteville. AR, by chance? If so, who was your surgeon? I'm scheduled for a lift in a few weeks and having second thoughts. Thanks!
