“Vi Peel for Actinic Keratoses - Just Do It”
Spent: $200 in Fairfield, CT
Posted 20 Jun 2010
I tried this as an alternative to Efudex treatments for actinic keratoses. Compared to Efudex, this is a less barbaric as the symptoms subside within one week. There is minor burning initially, but I had no trouble leaving the solution on overnight. The residual tightness is not comfortable, but the skin starts to break apart within a short time of the sensation of tightness. The peeling can be a bit itchy, but a bit of hydrcortisone cream will keep that in check. It has been just over a week since my treatment and there are still a couple of small patches still to peel. Aestetically speaking, skin staining lightened noticeably. (I am very fair.) Also, the rough patches caused by the actinic keratoses do seem to have been eliminated. I would recommend this peel.
