I went through Gorgeous Getaways to Malaysia with Dr Nasir for facelift *brow, upper n lower eyes, jowl and neck lift*. Only problem is they want you to book into hopsital first, then Dr sees you just before surgery. I stood my ground and demanded a proper consultation first.. I recommand this to everyone.
Had 4 hours surgery, woke up with terrible pain in back of head. Had 2 very large lumps, 79 stapes and about 60 stitches.. Nurses worried, doctor finally came 12 hours later to check, said lumps seemed like bone!!! What kind of Dr says that! Had terrible experience, hopsital was still in process of being built and from 10am - 10pm jack hammering in concrete, so I had to book myself out of hospital on second night after op to go back to hotel for rest. WRONG..hotel had noisy people above and next door and every night 8.30pm - 4am noies so in 14 days had 4 das sleep.
Before leaving to come back to Australia saw doctor again about painful lumps on back of head and I TOLD HIM they were swollen lumph nodes, then he agreed! I have since got alopecia where they were swollen! Been back 5 weeks and eyes still VERY SWOLLEN and right eye is being dragged down so I cant shut my eye and lower right lid extremely sore on scar line and hurts to blink or move eye. Was it worth it? ill let you know in about 6 months.
I think next time ill stick to Australian doctor and australian surgeons even though they are 3 times more cost. Operation, threate, anestetic $5,500AUD, Airfare $860 + travel insurance, Hotel $1,880AUD, all up around $9,000AUD

I had a rhinoplasty done last year by Dr Jalil who is the other main doctor Gorgeous Getaways recommends and it turned out horrendous. I'm from Australia and had a revision done in the USA a week ago and I am in love with what my plastic surgeon has done... the results were that dramatic even with the swelling present, I couldn't thank him enough....actually I'm in love with the results from every procedure that he has done for his clients too.
Stay positive and happy and I really hope your surgery is what you wanted.
I too had a MFL (mid-face-lift) with cheek implants. I really only wanted my neck fat and jowls gone. I'll be honest, it has not been quite 2 weeks but I hate it! It IS VERY PAINFUL when the novacaine and anasthesia wear off and the docs only give you a few pain pills, not near enough for a month, which is what I am now told it will take before they take my staples out and the swelling will completely go down. I had to go to the ER to get more pain meds! The Dr.'s ther were shocked. I am only 43 years old. DON'T DO THIS PROCEDURE, unless you are deformed. I'm unhappy with the results and have been in constant agony ever since surgery. I had to drop out of grad school temporarily because I was in too much pain to get the work done. I have vomited, I've been nauseauted, I have a headache ALL of the time. I used to model. I was a beautiful woman before, now I look like a clown! I'm not exaggerating one bit. Don't buy into this misleading advertising. By the way, I went to the "top professional" for faces in California, if not the U.S. He has pictures of models in his office which he has supposedly worked on......
I really wish by now your incisions are healed and you are able to see a great improvement. You have a beautiful face . I wish one day you'll be posting, if you feel like, new pics. Are you still experience bruising and swelling? I just wanted you to know someone here is thinking of you :-]
Dear Shakey, I too had surgery in Malaysia with Dr Nasir but thank goodness went through NOTHING like you have. I had mine done on the 12th April, when were you there? I had just a neck lift but had the scars around my ears, the back of my head like you and 3 staples either side of my upper face. I had no pain whatsoever... was very surprised and didnt need to take sleeping pills. BUT like you, the swelling was unbelievable. To say that you are back "to normal" in 3 weeks is a load of hogwash! I am now 10 weeks? after surgery and can only just look in the mirror and think that I am glad to have had it done. I still put heatpacks on first thing in the morning as there is still slight numbness in front of my ears and my lobes hurt. And yes, I think that one ear is slightly higher than the other and my mouth is not quite straight but no one else can see it. I had so many days of "What have I done, I want my old face back!" and got quite depressed but now I would do it all over again. I am so pleased with the results. So please be patient because it sounds like you really had a hard time and I think its going to take quite a bit longer for you to heal. I didnt have a problem with Dr Nasir but I was prewarned of his offhand manner and was ready for it. And I had the surgery at Beverly Wilshire where they were repairing the airconditioning but only stayed one night. And stayed at the Park Royal suites which I loved. I was one of the lucky ones who could go out shopping after 5 days but still had to cover up with a full headscarf because of the massive bruising and swelling. It WILL get better and you will be pleased with it all. He really is a top surgeon, I did so much research on him... found all sorts of info... which is why I went with him. A much better reputation than Melbourne surgeons. Please keep posting and I will try and cheer you up!!!!LOL!!! My hair is already growing back, a few wrinkles returned but it looks natural. My neck looks amazing which is all I wanted. You take care, keep your chin up and keep posting.
Oh my, that looks so painful! Do you have to go back to Malaysia for follow-ups?
