Recovery Taking Long Time - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I went through Gorgeous Getaways to Malaysia with Dr Nasir for facelift *brow, upper n lower eyes, jowl and neck lift*. Only problem is they want you to book into hopsital first, then Dr sees you just before surgery. I stood my ground and demanded a proper consultation first.. I recommand this to everyone.

Had 4 hours surgery, woke up with terrible pain in back of head. Had 2 very large lumps, 79 stapes and about 60 stitches.. Nurses worried, doctor finally came 12 hours later to check, said lumps seemed like bone!!! What kind of Dr says that! Had terrible experience, hopsital was still in process of being built and from 10am - 10pm jack hammering in concrete, so I had to book myself out of hospital on second night after op to go back to hotel for rest. WRONG..hotel had noisy people above and next door and every night 8.30pm - 4am noies so in 14 days had 4 das sleep.

Before leaving to come back to Australia saw doctor again about painful lumps on back of head and I TOLD HIM they were swollen lumph nodes, then he agreed! I have since got alopecia where they were swollen! Been back 5 weeks and eyes still VERY SWOLLEN and right eye is being dragged down so I cant shut my eye and lower right lid extremely sore on scar line and hurts to blink or move eye. Was it worth it? ill let you know in about 6 months.

I think next time ill stick to Australian doctor and australian surgeons even though they are 3 times more cost. Operation, threate, anestetic $5,500AUD, Airfare $860 + travel insurance, Hotel $1,880AUD, all up around $9,000AUD

Your eye needs to be address by your eye doctor -- sounds like your tear ducts that provide the wiping of your eyes when you blink were damaged. Will need to start of regimen of artificial tears. I have the same thing. Most people who get a lower bleph this is one of the complications -- never told this before surgery. My right eye is fine.

I have also been left with extremely bad face-lift scars. The surgery was performed by the same doctor. Has anyone had successful scar revision in Australia? I have had several cortisone injections which have flattened the scars but widened them. I would appreciate any advice, thanks.

This is helpful for those of us who haven't spent a lifetime smoking, drinking and in the sun. I'll never get a facelift, Thanks to this post I would be too afraid even if I really wanted one.

It is important for people to get our message loud and clear, its not about cheaper surgery but getting the information to get great options and to advise about outcomes and expectations, along with experiences. We want people to search the internet and come here, to avoid GG, certain doctors and the other businesses owned by the group that leave its customers in the lurch. It is important to remember they as in GG are just the procurers, not the providers, and dont care what happens with outcomes as once they get their money they have moved on. Many hospitals offer the same service for free and back it up with quality service and care because Its their reputation on the line. They dont need the middle men. Its only our shame and embarrassment that stops us shoutimg from the hills, people dont have much sympathy for botched cosmetic procedures. Self inflicted to some. So keep posting on point so people coming here for information are truly informed and can avoid these providers. I know a lot of you are really suffering, and if its any consolation you are not alone.

I object to having my whole comment removed. If u object to one word then remove the one word. Really this site should not be so heavily censored when it is meant to inform accurately and with truth. You are far too heavy handed sharon

Once again you are one of a very few with good results and good ggntreatmentI had to look after one woman whose stitches ripped apart leaving her for months in kl as the nurses were so poorly trained. I contacted the owner time and time again re my injuries but the wording of their guarantee is so dodgy my legal advice was to get it done myself but it cant b fixed. No wonder they have moved to a bali spa operation. Be aware anything injected into your skin you better be sure its sterile and the real deal not a knock off product. I would never get anything done in bali

How horrible of you to pick on spelling? What an awful person you are.

This person is most likely a paid advert for Dr Nasir not a genuine patient. Ignore them

Well she may have had surgery but her lack of empathy for any of us and she can only critisize my spelling shows how truly ugly she is and there is no surgery for that. I may make typos but its hard on a tiny phone keyboard. Id prefer to misspell than be like her.

Louise Cogan is the owner of GG and Cocoon medispa Bali, she is a real sweet talker but does nothing when you complain. What I dontmget is why anyone reading these comments would risk their lives after all these experiences, cause the dead ones don't write here, nor do the many ashamed embarrassed women and men. Any wonder they operate off shore with a few reps here who are ex patients who got freebies

I am very sorry about how you are feeling, but I am absolutely a real patient of Dr Nasir's (cannot speak for any other posters), having had my facelift on 29Dec2013 @ Beverly Wilshire Medical Centre. My results are so good and I have met and stayed in contact with quite a few of his patients that were in Kuala Lumpur at the same time as me. My daughter travelled with me and had breast surgery with Dr Nasir and her results are beautiful. I have posted my B & A photos on this site so you can find me if you want to have a look. I am so happy every time I see someone who hasn't seen me since before the surgery as their reaction is fantastic and give me a real boost.

Louise Cogan sold GG about 3 years ago (if I remember correctly) after starting the company and rant it for about 8 years. A good friend of mine worked for Louise for several years which is how I know this, and I know Louise ran a top-shelf operation. I believe that GG is now owned by the woman who owns "Beautiful You" (?) which is based in New Zealand, so you should try to get onto her. Louise opened Cocoon in Bali only last year and I went there for treatment when I was there on holiday. It is absolutely beautiful and the doctors/prices are fantastic.

You are so right, once they have the money for their fee you are no longer their problem. I keep posting here so people are really aware of what happens and have no illusions...there are better places to go like bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok Thailand which u can organise thru them accommodation operation everything. Or bangkok phuket hospital in phuket thailand..I am happy to say they are both top private hospitals excellent world class standards and you dont have to pay a broker to get a procedure. Take control of your health and you can easily do all this yourself, book flights the hospital have partner hotels, provide good support, send your own photos direct to hospital thru their staff and get price and feedback directly. I have done it and it was so much better. I wish you all a happier life and please continue to warn about GG and your ongoing problems
