Hi, I've always had excess skin on my eyelids.....
Hi,
I've always had excess skin on my eyelids....it runs in my family. So I finally decided to go ahead with it two months ago and turned out visually great!
My operation was at Fabjan Plastic Surgery Clinic and dr. Amadej Lah was reassuring and kindly answered my 1000 questions. Operation was uncomfortable but the only pain was from the local injections which were certainly bearable. The duration of the procedure was around an hour done under local anesthesia.
The tough part was after surgery, my eyes were swollen and bruised. These effects disappeared in about two weeks. The right eye was healing a little slower than the left from the beginning.
In the first two months after the surgery, there is a small area of redness that can be detected but can be easily covered up with makeup. The only problem in the first month was bumpy scar and I am lucky that my friend is best in physiotherapy and scar therapy. Applying pressure and massaging the well-healed scar has been shown to improve the appearance as it breaks up the scar tissue, hopefully producing the finest scar as possible.
I am pleased with the results.
