So Glad I Did It!

At 60, I could see my mother's eyes beginning to stare back at me in the mirror. Relaxed, I looked angry. When spoken to, I immediately raised by eyebrows to the fullest, not realizing that it was because it was the way I saw best. I chose an MD in a Comprehensive Ophthalmology office. While the "look" took me back to someone I recognized in the mirror, the care of my sight was not to be left in the hands of anyone but an eye specialist. My friend thought I was wearing false eyelashes, not realizing that before the surgery, you just couldn't see my eyelash base. :-) My insurance paid for all but my copay. Glad I didn't wait any longer.

Great review?

I take it the $300 is just your copay amount. I'm surprised that any medical insurance would cover cosmetic surgery.

I really would like to know how did you get your insurance to cover your surgery.

At 63, my mother is also looking back at me in the mirror...I remember her look well and thinking how awful that must feel as well as the awful look of it. Well, hello Mother her I am looking back and understanding oh too well. Thanks for your words---they are all too familiar, unfortunately.
