I want to first say that overall Invisalign was well worth the money, effective and fast. I previously had braces and didn't wear my retainers. My teeth weren't bad but one of my front teeth stuck out a little which bugged me. There was also a bit of crowding of my lower teeth that didn't bother me as much but now that they're straight it makes a big difference. My husband sometimes just is talking to me and says "your teeth really look good" That alone was worth it. I was able to do the express because I only needed 10 trays. Anything over 10 was a full and would have cost 4600.00. After I had the impressions done they brought me in to show me through Invisaligns website exactly how each tray would move my teeth and wouldn't you know they showed me 11 trays. I simply eliminated the last tray because I was happy with the way my teeth looked at 10. The last tray just wasn't worth $2000.00. In my opinion there probably was at least 2-3 trays that could have been eliminated. I did decide that if a tray felt loose to me I would just go to the next tray quicker than 2 weeks. This wasn't recommended by my dentist or anything. I just did it because I could tell that the tray wasn't moving my teeth. I did think that my teeth were tender during the first 2-3 wks but nothing horrible that a little motrin didn't help. You also notice a difference in your speech at times. Once in awhile I would notice the tray wouldn't sit right or something and I would talk with a little bit of a lisp. Most of the time it was because you had your tray out for too long and now your toungue didn't know where to go. I had the first tray on December 14th and had my buttons removed on May 5th. One thing I didn't know was I would have to pay for my retainer today which cost $150.00. If your a candidate, Invisalign is a serious contender to traditional braces.

That is so sweet that your husband would just stop & comment on your teeth. :)

For anyone wondering if it is ok to skip ahead with their trays there was a question posted in the Q&A section that asked "Can I Go on to my Next Invisalign Tray After Less Than 2 Weeks, if my Teeth Fit in It?" Click here to see the dentists answers.
