Surgery Scheduled!
Pre-Op went wonderful.
There were THREE ladies at the front desk when I checked in. Filled out the pre-op paperwork and was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment. Dr. Lee was very pleasant, as usual, and did her pre-op counseling with me about my realistic expectations, any concerns I had, and then took pictures. I told Dr. Lee what date I had planned for my surgery and although it didn't meet her schedule in her usual surgery/follow-up time periods, she accommodated my schedule :) I'll be back in a few weeks for routine blood work prior to the surgery.
Excited to get this done on Feb 20!

I decided to get another consult done with another "4 star" plastic surgeon in El Paso (rating came from this site), just because I always like getting another perspective on things. The other surgeon that I met with, while he was personable, had me do a consult in a freezing cold room. Their computers didn't work, I waited over 1 1/2 hours to be seen (my appointment was scheduled for 9am, I arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork as asked, and didn't get seen until 10am or a little after that). There was a charge for the consultation, which wasn't told to me prior to scheduling, and I was also informed that the "discount" I was given for being military wouldn't apply should I use my CareCredit card to pay for the procedure (which was also $3,000 more than the total quote I received from Dr. Lee and her staff at Evolve). The only thing that made this "2nd opinion consultation" nice was the receptionist and the medical assistant; they were funny and made me feel like we had been friends for years.
Ultimately, I can see why Dr. Lee is ranked #1 in El Paso on this site :) Dr. Lee is STILL THE BEST and I'm excited about my pre-op appointment scheduled for THIS Wednesday with her! I'll post some "before" photos as well so you can all see the progress :)

Dr. Lee is extremely pleasant, very friendly, and even gave me some background information about procedures she's done on herself as well. She made me feel extremely comfortable with myself and made me feel like she was more of a friend than my potential surgeon!
