Post MOHS Basal Cell Carcinoma Surgery - East Grinstead GB

I Irish Fairy want to give a positive update of what has transpired after I wrote these previous reports while being in a very 'volatile mood' I met with Mr Peter Arnstein and Mr John Pereira on 5 November 2014. Both surgeons explained to me at length why my nose had collapsed and are doing their best to resolve this problem for me. I, hereby, retract anything I a have posted on this site that are negative and defames both Mr Peter Arnstein and Mr John Pereira and Mcindoe Surgical Centre East Grinsteam GB. Mr John Pereira has performed previous surgery on me in the past which I have been extremely happy with his attention to detail. My case of Post MOHS reconstruction has been explained to me as a very difficult case and basically has never happened before to either of these Plastic Surgeons. I, hereby, retract everything I have mentioned on this website about these posts.
In hindsight I just wish that I had not been so incensed and volatile at the time of writing and that the surgeons involved had explained things more fully to me in person and what could be done at the time to rectify the situation which they have done now. I would recommend McIndoe Surgical Centre to anyone thinking of having life changing Plastic Surgery in the future but please do ask all questions you wish to ask and do not be afraid to ask as these surgeons are human like us after all!

Port Mohs surgery reconstruction done a McIndoe Surgical Centre East Grinstead UK

After having a consultation with an eminent Plastic Surgeon in UK who told me to massage area where cartilage was put into nose hard for three months to help soften nose for third surgery to try and put it right after two botched reconstructive surgeries at McIndoe Surgical centre UK. It is very painful when I massage area with nervy pain. I was never given this advise at McIndoe. If the procedure was done properly in the first place I would not be facing a third surgery, this problem has been going on for Nine months when if done properly in first place would have been long forgotten about by now.

Disastrous. Mr John Pereira did not come into...

Disastrous. Mr John Pereira did not come into McIndoe Surgical centre that day and instructed his secretary to get some to stand in for him. The results of two surgeries one done by Peter ARnstein who stood in for John Pereira to do post MOHS surgery, and John Pereira two months later to replace cartilage which should have been replaced at first reconstruction. I am the victim of total negligence of incompetence at McIndoe Surgical centre. Mr John Pereira has cancelled second appointments with me since beginning of 2013 the worst cancellation being on 5 March 2014 when he was to take me to theatre and do reconstruction under general anaesthetic which did not happen even with Mr Peter Arnstein he gave me local anaesthetic which is hell, especially after having had loads of that injected into your nose tip for Mohs surgery to remove basal cell carcinoma.

I feel Mr Pereira does not want anything to do with me anymore which is terrible as I have been a patient of his since 2008 and had several cosmetic procedures with him and paid a lot of money to him. I feel very let down and sad that I have been treated this way. He is not taking responsibility for not coming into McIndoe surgical centre that day and passing me over to his colleague Peter Arnstein - he just says well I did not do that first surgery post MOHS. I am just the patient paying and a victim of negligence and incompetence as I am facing a third surgery and still having to pay more money to fixed my collapsed nose through no fault of my own due to the fact the first procedure was not done properly - If the first procedure had been carried out properly everything would have been finished in one to two months. My nose is still not right after two surgeries to reconstruct it, the tissues have shrunk and contracted and have thickened due to the cartilage not have been replaced the day of the Mohs surgery when first reconstruction was done. I have checked with another surgeon I was put in touch with and have been advised it all should have been done the same day as MOHS surgery to remove basal cell carcinoma and the cartilage should have been replaced with cartilage harvested from behind the ear and then skin flap done to cover it all up. I am have been advised to massage the contracted tissue as hard as I can for three months by this other plastic surgeon I got opinion from and not to have more surgery for another three months, It is very painful massing the area hard but I suppose none of these surgeon care much. If you want to nose surgery get someone who does mostly noses and are well practiced.
