“Tummy Tuck to Fix Two C-sections & Liposuction Fat Deposits Left Behind - Feeling Good!”
Spent: $7,300 in Duluth, GA
I just had my tummy tuck on March 24th. I have had two c-sections and I had liposuction in 2002 that left me with a big fat deposit at the top of my tummy and bumps and lumps all over.
The procedure went great. Of course, I always hate the "waking up" phase of any surgery. I stayed overnight at the out-patient facility of Northside Hospital where my doctor practices. The pain was tolerable. I did NOT have a pain pump and when I was in the hospital, my IV got messed up, so I was only given one dose of morphine. I have been on pain pills except for that one dose, along with muscle relaxers to keep from having any spasms.
I came home the next day and my husband has been taking care of me and the kids. My second day at home my husband helped me to get a shower and I have showered everyday since. Today I was able to shower on my own and I have been cooking dinner for my family for the past couple of nights. I still can't stand up straight and my backs starts to hurt after standing for too long. I am taking less of my pain pills and muscle relaxers than recommended. And I am still swollen.
I have TWO drains, which I am able to empty myself. I am going in for my one week post op appointment tomorrow and I should get ONE drain out. I might get the second one out on my two week appointment (fingers crossed), if not I have to wait until week three. I can't find any clothes that can hide them and it makes you feel a little depressed and not much like a person. Other than the drains, I can pretty much deal with everything else. And as others mentioned, you will absolutely have to sleep in a recliner. I have and am still in it. I will update after my appointment tomorrow. Wish me luck!!
