I waited 7 yrs. to get a breast augmentation. We wanted to wait until after we were done having kids. Before kids my boobs were big and perky, but that was before nursing. I have a lot of friends and family who have had a breast augmentations in the past and who recommended other doctors. I didn't know anyone who had used Dr. Fryer personally. I did a lot of research. I googled best plastic surgeon in Utah and Dr. Fryer was the one who popped up first. I read a lot of his reviews and he has the best ratings, all 5 stars on any website you check. I have never seen this with any doctor. Not only were his ratings the best, but he had a lot of reviews. Every other plastic surgeon I looked into didn't have as good of reviews or as many. I went to book my consultation and they were booked out 2 months in advance. I had a certain date that worked best when my husband could take 2 weeks off work to help me out. We have a 6 month old who is really big and you cannot lift more than 10 lbs for 2 weeks. So I ended up putting a 10% down to book my surgery date even before I met with Dr. Fryer and it was the best decision ever!

The reasons why I chose Dr. Fryer were his ratings, he leaves a smaller scar than most doctors, his recovery times are better than other doctors because you bleed less than 1/2 tsp during surgery! That leads to less bruising, less swelling and faster recovery times. I really liked his before and after pictures. They aren't in black in white like a lot of doctors post. And he tells you how much that person weighs and how tall they are, what kind of implant they used and how many ccs they went. I also liked that he wrote an entire pamphlet that you can read to get to know all about it. In that pamphlet it will tell you he prefers the incision under the breast - inframammary. It has less complications. The nipples are the focal point of the boob and when you go through the nipples you have scars around the nipples which are more noticeable than under the breast. I really really liked the fact that Dr. Fryers incision is only 3 cm long (unless you go Ultra High Profile it is a little bigger). The smaller the scar the better in my opinion. This is a smaller scar than what most doctors do and it is the same with saline v. silicon. Usually the scar for saline is less with other doctors because they can fill it up while it is in you, instead of having it pre-made like silicone. I chose silicone and was happy to hear that it is the same size of scar as the saline. He is also certified with the board of plastic surgeons. He was also upfront about all costs and posts them on his website. His location was also convenient for us. He stays up to date on all technology and methods and knows what is going on. He uses the best silicone where it is like a gummybear consistency and is better for your body if it were to break or pop open (in a rare occasion). Also he puts all implants under the muscle "for a thousand different reasons".

It is now 1 week since my surgery and I feel great. I went with the Naturelle Silicone 425cc (which is like 1.7 cups of silicone each). I used to be a 34D before kids, then I went down to about a B or a big A cup. 1 week post op my friend measured me for Victoria Secret bras and I am a 34E or a big 34DD. I will most likley go down to full D or a smaller DD after 3 months when they say you can wear an underwire bra. I love the size and don't really feel that big. I am petite and small, but I have hips and I am enjoying my old hour glass figure again. Dr. Fryer will measure you and tell you you can only go between a certain range for the base width of the implant. I went with the widest I could, but I didn't go with the Ultra High Profile, I went with just a High Profile. The Dr. and the staff never pressure you into going bigger or smaller. The decision is completely up to you! He recommends the range and then as long as you choose something in that range it is your decision. When trying on the implants the staff lets you know that once it is in your body it actually looks a little smaller. So if you get a 425 cc it actually looks more like 400 cc. For most people every 200 cc is another cup size. So If I was a small B and went 425 cc that is about DD (after 3 months), but it can differ with your weight, height, width, etc. It can also differ with what bra and brand you use. A bonus but not a deciding factor with the Naturelle brand is it comes with free botox.

I was taking IB profin the night of the surgery, and some pain meds. Most doctors won't prescribe IB Profin because of the chance of bleeding that soon after surgery. Because the surgery went well with hardly any bleeding I was taking IB Profin that night. He gave me antibiotics in the surgery, but I didn't have to take them afterwards. I iced for a few days, I did my arm exercises like instructed and wore the band for one week non stop. Most of the swelling has gone down already. I had my bandages removed and they gave me a scar cream. All stitches are under the skin and will dissolve on their own. The scar is just as he said, the size it what I expected from trying the implants on and, still be a little swollen (I am only 1 week post op right now).

I would recommend Dr. Fryer to anyone! I am so glad I went with him!
