I saw my surgeon today...

I saw my surgeon today and I am so glad that I have someone that is very knowledgeable And who I trust very much! We are monitoring the problem and I have 100% faith and trust in him even if I do get freaked out at times. I'm still about the same but maybe once I start back lifting weights, the muscle or scar tissue will tear and release the implant so it'll come on down. I'll keep you posted!

Just thought I'd give a quick update

I've been wearing the Victoria's Secret bras around the clock and doing massages like I'm supposed to. As you can see, there's no change. It may not be any worse but it's definitely not any better. Praying that I wake up and it's rounded like it should be!! I took a pic showing what it looks like when I push down and try to get the implant down in that flat spot. It doesn't change-just looks flatter.

So let's be honest...

So I noticed a flat spot on the inside bottom of my right breast. I thought it was a shadow or maybe that's the way my breast had always been and I just never noticed. Yeah right. After I decided to quit lying to myself and get real, I started watching it, massaging it more and tried not to panic. I researched it and heard of other women having this problem but all I could find was a bunch of posts of women, like me, freaking out but never following through with what ended up happening. And I read and read and it was the same thing-woman finds flat spot, freaks out, said she's going to see her PS and then...nothing. So...I finally text my PS last night and told them my concern. I also asked if it was normal and I got the whole "we'll just have to wait til I see it." This morning, at 8:40, I had my appointment for him to see it. He said it DEFINITELY shouldn't look like that and instead of getting to try pretty new bras, he wants me to get a new sports bra, one from Victoria's Secret called "The Knockout." He wants me to continue massaging and wear this sports bra all day and all night...for another month. I am to go back in a month and if it's not better, he will have to make an incision and fix things. Thetr is either scar tissue or the capsule isn't round like it should be at that bottom edge. He said he could give me a steroid shot deep in the muscle but there is no guarantee that it would work. I am going to do EXACTLY what he says and HOPEFULLY, it will resolve on its own. He seemed really concerned about it which makes me think that he isn't really expecting it to fix itself on its own. Anyway, I am posting this because I KNOW there are other women, like me, with a flat spot who are worried and there will be more women, like me, desperately searching the Internet for answers. I am going to continue posting updates and I will let everyone know how this plays out over the next month. He does not believe its capsular contracture because my implant is soft and the capsule feels good. I am so thankful for that and so grateful for a PS who shows concern and care for his patients. If anyone has questions or a story similar, please let me know. I would really like to understand all of this better!
