Not Worth It
Spent: $3,400 in Charlotte, North Carolina

I first heard about Thermage on TV (that should of been my first red flag!) and thought it may be a good alternative to a tummy tuck. I went in for my "free" consultation and they told me I was a perfect canidate. I was wanting my stomach done. It had been a year and a half after having my second child and I have been exercising daily and watching what I ate. I just couldn't get rid of my tummy, which was saggy due to stretched out skin from the pregnancies. I saw a technition and not a doctor (which should of been another red flag) and she described the procedure and weighed the other options..lipo or a tummy tuck. I'd love to have a tummy tuck, but I didn't want to spend the money nor do I have the opportunity to rest for 10 days after the procedure with two little kids!! So, I did it.

They gave me a couple of pills to take before the procedure. When she started, it hurt like heck! The pills kicked in and I do not remember anything. Which was very scary once I realized time had passed and I didn't remember anything. I couldn't tell you how long it took, what she did or didn't do, or what I even talked about!

I was told to wear Spanx for a couple weeks after the procedure. I did not see any results at all, but they said it could take up to 6 months to see full results.

I went back six months after to take more measurements and after pictures and there was absolutely no difference between the photos. The measurements may have been a little better, but I exercise 5 days a week so who's to say it wasn't from that? Then she goes, Humm...I don't understand why we don't see any improvement. I'm like yeah, me too! Then I asked her if it would work better if I did it again and she said no, since we didn't see any improvement from the first one.

Then she had asked me to wait in the room for a minute and the doctor comes in too see me. He told me he was surprised I had no improvement what so ever and then looked at my stomach. He said the only thing that will help me would be a tummy tuck. That just pissed me off because if I was seen by the doctor to begin with, I could of saved a lot of money!! He said if I would to continue to get the tummy tuck, I would have the "thermage" discount. Can you believe it! I should of not have been so naive and asked to see a doctor first.

I am by no means over weight. I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 102 pounds. I was told I was a perfect canidate to help with loose skin from pregnancies. I figured by spending that kind of money, I was going to see awesome results. I saw those before and after pictures in the brochure and a woman had a tummy that looked just like mine and I just got excited and thought I found the answer to my problem. I wish I found a site like this before I did it. I tried to find anything on the web but didn't. Everything was positive. I am soo dissappointed. Please do not waste your money on this.
