My best friend

It's been 2 months and 2 weeks since my surgery. Dr. Robles has done an amazing job. She gave me back the body I had before my kids. I can't say it's been easy, I've had and still have work to do to keep the body I have. I can't wait to go back to the gym next year. Believe me this body can easily go back to he way it was if I don't continue to eat right and exercise. The garment I'm wearing is a compression garment that is necessary to let the body heal. It also shapes your body. There are many types (zipper and clasp), I chose the clasp type of closure because I scared of getting my skin caught on a zipper. I'm still using it. I will continue to use it because I feel a sense of security with it on. It's very tight and depending on which one you choose, it's pretty hard to get into, but soooo worth it.

2 months and 10 days after surgery

I'm still wearing the compression garment which is very helpful. It's supper tight but necessary for healing.

DR. Robles is friendly but very impersonal. I was in Dominican Republic for 10days. I met her the night before surgery where she marked my body and just left. I didn't see Dr. Robles again till 3 days after my surgery, where she looked at my scars. Then I saw her the day before I left to go back home. She relies heavily on her staff to do everything else for her. There were no hospital bed that at the recovery house that I stayed in that inclined so I had to use lots of pillows to keep me in a sitting position, because I couldn’t lay flat after my surgery. They had a button to call the nurse when you needed help but it didn’t work. The staff at the recovery house where I stayed didn't speak any English, which made it very difficult for the other patients to communicate. Definitely bring extra money because your going to need a few extra lotions, you might need more iron shots and an IV bag. Be honest about your heath and issues like smoking and stuff like that....many of the complications of surgery is the patient lies to the doctor cause serious reactions and even death.
