2 Months post op

I still have some swelling but other than that I am healing good.

6 weeks post op with new doctor

Let me start by saying this, Dr. Ricardo Ventura is a very sweet, honest and handsome doctor. Since I've been home he has been available to address every concern that I had and called to check to see how I was doing. He was very honest with me about my results and it came out as expected.

Do not buy all the things that the other dolls recommend to buy because it's too much. I brought a lot of bandages that I didn't get to use. The recovery house that I stayed at supplied the bandages but the dressings was done by the masseuse or the doctor himself, the recovery house did it twice. The bio oil is not needed until the scabs come off incision which will be at least 3 wks post op. The Arnica gel and pills was useless, it did absolutely nothing for me, the hibiclens I didn't use because I was advise not to use the water near my open areas, so get the chlorhexidine wipes instead, you don't need any water. Don't buy maxi pads or depends, you are not going to need it. Your packing list should consist of your personals like your toiletries, stool softner, allergy meds if needed, a pack of white tees, socks, 3 house dresses, 3 gowns, flip flops, underware ( I didn't wear any because of easy access for the bathroom). Don't buy the female urinal, just sit on the toilet backwards to get the job done. I brought no rinse wash and adult disposable wet wash cloths in a pack, Benadryl, and mild pain meds. Do not bring a lot of clothes because the recovery house only wash once a week and it may be only 5 items. Bring more tank tops than anything because you may have to change them frequently.

I stayed at Corazones Unidos hospital, which is a very clean hospital, but I advise you to get a nurse to stay with you from 7p to 6a. I went in for surgery at 6a and I woke up in the recovery room around 11a, he came in to talk to me, gave me something for pain and then I was out to 7p and that's when [RS bleep] went down hill. The day staff was wonderful but the night staff was horrible. My room was literally 20 steps from the nurses station and I couldn't get a soul to come in there. The way they put me in that bed after surgery was the way I was until he came in at 5:30 that morning. I yelled for help so long until I just started crying, I want to remind you after surgery it hurt to take a deep breath so imagine me screaming for help. By 9p I was so thirsty, I started to throw myself on the floor, finally a nurse came in that didn't speak English, I use the translation app on my phone to say I wanted some water, she brought 4 bottles of water and set it on the side table which was on the other side of the room and walk out, so I pulled the IV pole next to me and took the bag off the pole and threw the pole on the floor to get her to come back in because I knew yelling was not going to work, 2 of them came flying in talking loud in Spanish so I point at the water and she pour some in the cup and I said no and point at the table to let her know to bring it to me. I had TT, lipo to both arms, inner thighs, back and flanks. After that episode, they did not come back period, not tp change my bandage, not to give pain meds, not to change my IV bag. When the doctor came in I was hanging half way out the bed because I was in so much pain and couldn't hardly move and also in a bloody mess because my bandages haven't been change. When he came in he was shock that I was up and I can tell he was upset because the way that I looked, he went out the room and said something and then 2 nurses came in trying to clean me up, change my linen and straighten me up in bed.

The first 3 days after surgery was the worst, but after that you will be uncomfortable and it will be hard to get position right because it hurts to move. The pain meds that they give you will be enough to cover your pain. You will only hurt when you try to re-position yourself and the longer you stay in one position the harder it is to move. I had a lot of swelling but thank God sitting high in heaven no complications. You are expect to wear the compression garment for at least 3 months and please do, that is how you are going to get your shape. My regrets is not following instructions because I don't have a waist line but I can't sleep in those garments. I am six weeks post op and I still have swelling in my lower abdomen, lower back and sides. I am going back for round 2 because the compression garment done smush my butt and I want breast. But overall I am happy and feeling myself.
