Checking In!

I know it's been a while ladies, but I am just checking in. Thank you for all of your well wishes. Even those of you in my inbox :)

Just to answer questions sent in messages and posted here:

I am doing great! It's been 6 months since my surgery and I am doing everything I used to do just fine. I definitely feel 100% back to myself. I can say I felt 100% myself around the 3 month mark. That is when I began bike riding again. Strenuous exercise and all! The booty is soft and still gigantic and my waist is still small. I have been eating healthy and drinking lots of water for the most part.

I don't have any lumps, bumps, hard spots or loose skin.
I did not get any massages at vanity or back at home. I selfmassaged when I saw fit and majority of the time in the shower. The reason why I did them myself was because I had very little fluid retention only in the lower belly area and I have a good friend who is an ER physician and he advised me to save my money and do it this way. I self massaged and I did not wear a garment after a month. I only wore an abdominal binder strapped down with 2-3 large velcro ace bandages for support and compression.

I have some updated photos from 1 month and 2 month post surgery but I will admit seeing my pics circulating around the internet did freak me out a bit. I am still debating whether I will post those.

I think I covered all the questions.
If you have any questions feel free to ask away!

Also if any of you ladies are interested, a friend of mine is selling 3 brand new garments on ebay together. 2 of them are fajate de senos and the other is a verox.

Here's the link if interested:

Cont'd

Forgot to add my goal was to come home with little to nothing. I didn't want to come back with any supplies and I threw away my old night shirts & the 2 black wash cloths at the hotel before I left for the airport. Went home with 3 bed pads and a few surgical dressing pads. All the supplies like the surgical dressings, thermometer etc I had packed in a large ziplock bag to keep together so it made for easy pack up for home.

Also no I didn't use wheelchair service at the airport. I had a nice walk at the airport to my gate but I didn't mind I just took my time at a steady pace. Something about being around people makes you stand up straight and not notice pain or stiffness LOL & I flew delta, Row 10 with the extra legroom was perfect. After I went through TSA I bought a Gatorade & a liter bottle of smartwater. I stood at the gate until it was time to board which was about 15mins being that I timed my airport arrival so close. I love flying late flights. There were only 10 people on my flight. Ask away! Don't be shy!

Answers to your questions

Hey ladies sorry I haven't been updating as often. I've been busy. I compiled a list of questions that a lot of you have been PMing me and here are the answers. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

Hasan prescribed three meds postop.
Cephalexin 500mg (Antibiotic)
Tylenol with codeine
& a nausea medicine that dissolves under the tongue.
Total came to $89 I believe & we went to the pharmacy next door to vanity. Meds were ready in 5 minutes.

So many have been asking for hotel info! Here it goes

------------------------------------HOTEL INFO--------------------------------------------
I stayed at the Extended stay blue lagoon. It was a 0.5 mile away from a 24hour CVS & 3 miles away from vanity & I wanted to be nearby those 2 places. I had a microwave & stove & huge brand new Frigidaire fridge with freezer. A queen bed & a recliner next to it. The room was perfect size for post surgery. it's a small studio with a table & chairs in the kitchen. I didn't realize that they didn't have channels like mtv vh1 bet & channel 9. They had the usual 2,4,5, espn, usa, tnt & 2 showtime movie stations. They had free parking, a grab & go breakfast & no room service. I stayed in a room on the first floor so it was a bit noisy. I didn't like that it was a bit noisy with cars outside. I REALLY wanted to stay at the Marriott springhill suites which is about 2.8 miles away from vanity & with ALL the amenities I'm used to but it sold out on the dates I wanted. They have good sized rooms with microwave, fridge & freezer, 24hr room service, free good breakfast, windows with water view, free airport shuttle, 24hr front desk, pool, business center, fitness center, free parking, express checkin/out & a convenience store on the premises & it's in a very nice quiet area. I wish I had stayed there. If you can, stay THERE! The Marriott Springhill Suites Miami Airport South, I'll post a pic.

I didn't take much with me I only had a carryon with:

Floradix (Liquid iron..TRUST ME don't bring pills. with liquid it works faster & floradix has the vitamin C in it to help absorb so you won't need to drink orange juice & it won't leave you constipated or with stomach pains like the pills tend to do)
Weewee pads
Curad extra absorbent surgical dressings pads (these were actually the same ones they used at vanity) I'll post a pic also, got them from walmart.
Sanitary pads
1 long sleeve floor length black cotton button cardigan
2 pairs of large black yoga pants
2 old night shirts
2 loose black crew neck tees (1 for day of surgery)
Chapstick
Nutrigrain bars
Laptop
Nike Flipflops
Thermometer
Hylan's homeopathic arnica & bromelain tabs
My own antibiotic 500mg amoxicilin which I didn't use
3 large Velcro ace bandages for when I took off the garment to wash
Arnica pomada
Hibiclens antibacterial wash
Antibacterial wipes
2 black washcloths
2 pairs of Jobst compression stockings (because the ones from surgery will get messed up from the betadine wash & or blood stains)
Walmart travel blanket/pillow set

PRE-OP DAY 2/3
My flight was delayed, so instead of getting to Vanity at noon I got there after 3 and did my bloodwork. They called me back 5 mins after I got there. I did bloodwork, spoke to Keyla & took pics & waited for Hasan who was in surgery. It took about 45mins waiting for him. He felt up my skin & told me what he could do for me which was everything I wanted. After leaving my preop at vanity I planned to do my shopping for gatorades & water but I was so tired I went back to the hotel. My nurse Ester told me she would take care of it all while I was in surgery. When I got back to the hotel Keyla sent me a text with my time to be at Vanity which was 8am. When I got to vanity at 8 Ester went looking for somebody. She told the nurse I was there for surgery and asked for the prescriptions in advance to fill while I was in surgery. I decided I didn't want to get the prescriptions until later because I wanted to use a credit card.

------------------------------GOING HOME--------------------------------------
My booty is so huge I had to cut myself out of the garment on day 3. I went home on Day 2 late at night because I was home sick, took a 10pm flight so I could easily get through TSA without a long line, so it wouldn't be crowded in the airport & so I'd be able to semi sleep on the plane. Got to the airport 45 mins before my flight, went through TSA like a breeze, it took less than a minute, taking out my laptop took the most time. My flight was good, 2hrs & 30 mins, I didn't get up once I just kicked my legs. I slept through most of it. I put my walmart pillow in the middle of my back between me & the seat & it felt pretty good. I had some tea with lemon before I fell to sleep & I made sure to take 2 pain meds as we were taking off (Ester wrote my meds schedule on the prescription bag God I love her so it was easy to remember when to take all 3) The only thing I worried about was the stiffness from getting up when it was time to get off. The vanity garment they put me in was a size 40 & extremely tight on the hips and booty but loose up top. I wouldn't buy any garments until after surgery because you have no clue how big or swollen you will be. I didn't get any massages at vanity.
