Please call you doctor if you are feeling this way.  Did you take your temp?

The garment needs to be snug but not so tight you feel like you are going to pass out.

I've heard about the garmet woes so I bought one at a store in case mine is too tight.

My day is tomorrow at 6:30am in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am very excited and ready to get it over with.

I will also have a pain pump plus pain pills. I am having lipo sculpting on flanks and a tummy tuck.

Bye for now. Linda

The surgery itself should not cause you to feel clammy, you should definately call your PS. The garmet should be tight but if it's making you feel like you are gonna pass out, you should loosen it a little. I hope you feel better soon.

if you have not had a bowel movement it can cause great pressure on your belly, even gas and bloating will make the pressure unbearable.
Take some Milk of Magnesia and stay on a high fiber diet to keep from your belly being distended.
But I agree with Kimmers, if you have a temp you really need to see your physician.

Clamminess could be sign of a fever, and fever could be sign of an infection. So, yes, please call your doctor.

My garment was also tight at the time right after surgery. But I swelled a lot. I was under anesthia for 6 hours plus. I had a tt and lipo of several areas. I felt like I couldn't breath so I loosened the top portion so my diaphram could move so I could get some oxygen. The garment started to feel better and was easier to get on when my swelling went down some. Now I think it is even too loose...:). But talk to your doctor about it and see if you need a different size until some of your swelling subsides.

As for feeling clammy and hot, that is an indicator of a possible infection. That is how I started out with my infection. Turned out I had a temp of 103. so, call your doctor and don't wait. The sooner you can get on top of it the better.

Good luck to you and I look forward to hearing about your progress...:)

Hello clammy make sure u take all of your meds and especially the stool softner that is going to make a world of difference when u finally make a bowel movement. Keep taking them even after your first one to make sure its soft. Try eating oatmeal also that helped me go.

As far as feeling clammy cool water shower if u can and definately tell your ps. Hope u feel better rest as much as u can.

The numbness and hard feeling is all part of this process.  Give it some time and it will improve.
