Update

Thank you to the doctors who have responded to my post...I wanted to add that I am going to be 54 March 2015...one doctor mentioned I should wait to discuss a TT until after I've had kids...that's funny; well not funny ha ha but funny because I went through very early menopause and wasn't able to have kids.

2008 was a very tough year for me, I was dealing...

2008 was a very tough year for me, I was dealing with the loss of my sister-in-law who passed suddenly. We had been in a nasty fight and never made amends before she left us. I still carry the burden of not making things right between us. March 10 of 2008 (my birthday) is when my father passed. One week and 3 minutes later my mother passed. Six months later my favorite Uncle and at 8 months, my Step-dad passed. I was a mess to say the least. I was only about 15 pounds overweight but more than just dieting I wanted to get a more youthful shape back to my mid-section and slightly slim down my thighs. (I was 5'9, 170) Not being in the right frame of mind I really didn't do much research. I had some plastic surgery on my mouth from an accident a few years earlier so I called that surgeon. Upon my initial consultation the doctors' office was playing a smart lipo ad on the tv so I told them that's what I was there for. Dr. Ben Lee told me had had lipo on himself and said he did it so that he didn't have to watch what he ate because the fat wouldn't return. I was happy with the ad I saw on tv and signed up. I paid 75% upfront and would make payments on the balance. I was told if I was unhappy with the outcome that it would be redone until I was happy. The money I was using was part of my inheritance.
Surgery day was a nightmare. I was completely out of it and in the most pain I've ever been in. (I have a high tolerance for pain). I wore my compression garment religiously even longer than I was told just to assure a good result. The first appointment was a little weird...the nurse saw me first and asked what my concerns were. She left and said the doctor would be in soon. The doctor approached my room and even though the door was closed, the doctor asked the nurse what I told her were my concerns. He came in and discussed only what I had told the nurse. Very off-putting the the doctor said everything looked great. I mentioned that I felt like I was run over by a bus. He said it was because he took 4.5 liters out. I came back a week later and the same exact procedure took place. By the second month I was able to remove the compression garment and my stomach looked terrible, wrinkled and very obvious lumps in 4 places. My subsequent appointments all included my dissatisfaction but the doctor kept saying it would improve over time. I asked him about his guarantee and he told me that he would be happy to do some additional lipo but I would be paying for anesthesia and garments all over again. I couldn't pay for it again so decided to wait it out and see I would be happy with results over time like the doctor said. My best friend gave me weekly massages to help with lumpiness but it's now 2015 and my stomach looks the same lumpy way it did in 2008 plus I forgot to mention that my belly button is now off-center - How the heck can that happen?

I believe that Dr. Ben Lee was a beginner at lipo and truly didn't do a good job. For $12000 I should have a waist, a slim tummy, not have a thick waist and I should look fabulous. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE.
