I decided to get my procedure done this June after being frustrated, depressed, self-conscious, whatever negative emotion you can think of over my body. My earliest memory of shame regarding the size of my thighs was when I was 7 years old sitting down in our classroom chairs and thinking to myself how fat my thighs looked. As you can imagine, my insecurities only flourished from there and only got more intense. I have always been extremely active my whole life and even ate a vegan diet for nearly a year so I could try and lose more weight. Despite the numbers on the scale decreasing, I still could never get rid of the problem areas. After trying on a pile of clothes in the dressing room and nothing fit right, I broke down and decided to take control of my insecurities. I weighed 135 pounds at 5'2 before I went into surgery. 5 and a half weeks post op I've only lost around 3 pounds buuuuuuut my body looks way more slender. The final results sometimes don't show until 6 months post op, but I've already gone down 2 inches in my waist and even though my flanks are still numb, I no longer have back fat (yay!). My inner/outer thighs and sides are still bruised and very tender but that's probably because I only took Arnica for the first week. Other than that, I feel back to normal but in much better shape. In fact, I went to my first reformers Pilates class yesterday and it felt amazing! Even though the first week after surgery was rough and the procedure was expensive, the way I feel about myself now is priceless. I'm leaving for Hawaii in a few weeks and will be confident in my bikini for the first time ever. Actually, this was the first time in 8 years I wore a two piece bathing suit.

This is out of the ordinary for me to give anything 5/5 stars, especially in every category. I'm usually a pretty harsh critic, but Dr. Marin and everyone who works at Ranch&Coast deserve every single bit of credibility for their outstanding work. I knew Dr. Marin would be the right surgeon for me as soon as I met him. I only saw two other surgeons to confirm my beliefs in that he was the best in San Diego. It's very easy for someone to be arrogant when they have the credentials he does (Harvard and Columbia University), but he is so humble and warm. Ok let's be honest, I freakin love the guy! And I absolutely love Shannon! Well, I love everyone there. I haven't met one person I didn't like and that is just as important to me as the procedure itself. I feel like I really lucked out. It would be crazy NOT to go with Dr. Marin as your surgeon.

I wish I had more room to write about my experience at Ranch&Coast because the people, service, and procedure I received exceeded all of my expectations. The service is so amazing, that I knew from the moment I called the office and spoke to the receptionist, that I would be getting my surgery done there. I went to 2 other surgeons just to get a sense of how each practice treated their clients. Dr. Marin and Shannon, the clinical nurse, were BY FAR the best. Dr. Marin patiently answered all 15 of my questions during the first consult, compared to the other 2 surgeons who blew me off. I am EXTREMELY shy and modest when it comes to showing my body but Dr. Marin and Shannon made me feel comfortable. Everyone who works there is so kind and friendly, especially all of the receptionists. I truly felt like everyone cared about me and my well-being. Oh and to top it all off, it looks like a gorgeous spa inside the building. I am only 3 weeks post-op but I can already see results on all the areas I wanted work on (inner/outer thighs, upper/lower abdomen, flanks, and hips). I can't wait too see my body's transformation as the weeks go by and I have Dr. Marin and his team to thank. Is it weird that I actually enjoy going there every few weeks to see everyone?
