Day 8 Post Op - Still Unsure if I'd Do It Again

ORIGINAL POST

I was looking forward to this like NOTHING before!...

WORTH IT$8,500

I was looking forward to this like NOTHING before! I had a full tt with lipo on my flanks and thighs. I am a 34 year old mother of 3 and have been struggling with abdominal fat for YEARS!!! My PS was fantastic and I actually started off this venture obtaining a consultation for a breast lift - boy was I wrong! She reccommended that I have a tt and it would really change my figure and give me the look I was wanting.

Day 1 was by far WORST PAIN OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!! The lipo was a real downer for me...........very painful. To anyone thinking about this.......if you have children who need you to take care of them......plan on being out of commission for AT LEAST 7-10 solid days. Not only will you not be able to care for others, you will need someone to care for you - positioning, drains, bandage changes, etc. I am a nurse and thought I would be able to handle all of that myself.........wrong!

Right now for me, the hardest part is getting comfortable. It is a real challenge.

My body is looking great already - I can see that I'm going to have to tone my upper arms and back though to look proportionate to my waist and butt.

Best of luck to anyone considering........it is a BIG decision!! Don't cut corners........my PS was expensive, but highly sought out and recommended.

Hi, im glad you are happy with the result. i had a TT 7 months ago and I had almost the same experience that you..I'm 31 and mother of 3 after TT my life change for better. One question what you mean when you say "Don't cut corners"?
Hi, I hope you are doing better...I am going to the same PS 2/12/09 for TT, LIPO, BA with a lift. Any advice, suggestions, comments...???? Are your results as good as all her photos? I truely hope youre feeling better!!!
I had my tt with lipo on 2/23/09. I have researched and anticipated this for a year. I consulted with doctors and decided to go through with it. I am a 29 year old mother of two (ages 4 and 5). I work in healthcare and I thought that given my age and knowledge, I would spring back in a hurry. WRONG! The pain was completely tolerable. I took pain meds for 3 days then switced to ibuprofen. The drains, however, were horrible. I had them for 9 days. My husband had to care for them. They needed "stripped" and measured and they pulled when messed with. So, I was unable to do it for myself. It hurt too bad. Since the drains have come out, I have been retaining fluid in my abdomen. It looks like waves when I push on it. The doctor said she will probably have to drain it this week. That is perfectly fine as long as I don't have to have another drain put in. I am now post-op day 13. My belly is definitely flatter. My belly button looks good. I like the results. I just want to get back to normal. I go back to work in a little over a week. This surgery is definitely not for the weak. If you have children...you will need help. Hope this was helpful.
I had my tt done 8/31/11. I am 8 days post-op. I totally agree with the others, this surgery is definitely not for the weak. I also had lipo with complete muscle repair. I am 28, a mother of 3. I can honestly say this was the worst pain of my life. This 1st week has really been tough, my husband has been doing everything for me. On the bright side I could tell a tremendous difference the 1st night. My PS was very highly recommended, expensive, but it's all going to be worth it!
