Pics of me - 7 months after TT

Very pleased with my TT. Except now, since losing 25 lbs after the surgery, my hips stick out and I don't like how they look. I also have rolls under my bra. I'm not into the big booty look so it bothers me that I have these big hips now. Spoke to my PS about what can be done. He said those areas are not fat. They're loose skin that's hanging over. He said if it really bothers me I can get a lower body lift. As you can see from the pics, it doesn't look too bad but it still bothers me. Am I so shallow that all I can focus on now is my rolls, considering what I looked like a few months ago? I just want to feel good about myself. So, I've decided to go ahead and complete my transformation by having the body lift at the end of June. Figured life's too short not to be happy, right? I'll post better pics later so you can see how far I've come and where I want to be. I've also started a new body lift review so you can follow my progress there, too.

6 months after TT - update

Hi everyone,

Haven't been on RS for a while. Just wanted to give you a quick update. I'm doing very well after the TT surgery. I also had lipo done on my thighs. I'm so very happy with my new look. I'm more outgoing now and generally in a good place.

I was 193 lbs when I had the surgery 6 months ago. Now, by eating clean and walking 30 minutes every day I'm down to 171 lbs. Not that I didn't eat right before but because of thyroid & arthritis problems I couldn't lose any weight even though I was eating 1300 calories a day (for years!). Since the TT surgery, I've lost 20 lbs! I think the surgery jump started my metabolism. My rheumatologist also changed my meds and I'm not so swollen anymore. I think my whole body was swollen not just the joints affected by arthritis.

But now I have a different concern. Due to losing so much after the TT, I've noticed rolls on my back (under my bra line) and in my hip area. They were probably there all along but I was so fat it wasn't as noticeable. When I had my 6 month checkup this week, I asked my PS if he could lipo my back and hips to get rid of the rolls. He pinched the areas and said the rolls weren't fat - they were excessive skin due to loss of elasticity in my skin because of my age (I'm 58). He suggested I get a body lift to remove the rolls. He would continue the TT incision line all the way around my back side and cut off the extra skin. This would also pull up my butt and thighs - which sounds great to me!

My tummy is so nice and flat now that I want the rest of me to look good, too. So, I've decided to go ahead and get the body lift this summer.

I'll post some updated pics this weekend so you can see what I'm talking about. Hoping my June TT friends are all doing well, too.

6 week PO

A few days ago I noticed I got really bloated in my tummy area and suspected I was retaining fluid. If I pushed in on one side of my tummy, there was a wave to the other side. A very strange sensation. The wave was very noticeable if I pushed in when I was standing up. Kinda felt like a water bed. My tummy was very tender and it hurt. I've posted some pics that I took yesterday. I can definitely see in the pics that my tummy wasn't as flat as it was previously.

Had my 6 week PO appt today and told the doctor about my symptoms. He said it was definitely fluid in there. His nurse came in and aspirated the fluid with a needle. It didn't hurt - just felt a little pinch where the needle went in. She took out about 2-1/2 tubes of fluid. I wasn't looking when she was doing it so I don't know the exact cc amount. Doctor said it may happen again in the future and to just call up and they'll aspirate again. My tummy felt so much better afterwards!

Other than the fluid accumulating, the doctor said everything looked good, which was great! My incision area is still red but he said it will take time for the scar to get lighter.

Would I have the TT and muscle repair surgery again? In a heart beat !!! My friends have noticed how much happier and more confident I am since the surgery and my hubby can't keep his hands off me.

My PS has come highly recommended by some of my friends who've had procedures performed by him. I felt very comfortable talking to him at my first consultation appt. I told him I just want to look & feel better - not interested in looking like a model. Just want to get rid of the pooch over hang and the cellulite & fat on my knees. He chuckled and said he can do that for me. He has a good sense of humor and I feel I am I in good hands with him. Not nervous at all about the procedure.
