I'm only two months out so far but I have already lost 26 pounds and I'm already starting to feel better health wise. Surgery went smoothly, I recovered quickly and have had no complications. I'm a mother of 2 young boys and it was hard keeping up with them plus I was scared that being 346 lbs was going to kill me. I used to have heartburn every night for over two years, it often kept me awake because medications didn't completely help it. I also have joint pain, mostly in my knees.
I have not had ANY heartburn since the surgery and I no longer have to hold onto the side of the house when going down/up our steps. So if losing this 26 lbs has helped this much I can't wait until I lose more. You won't lose weight over night and you still have to diet and exercise. Lap Band is a tool that helps you lose the weight but for me it has been so worth it.
