he ruined my face & life! - Dallas, TX

I went to see Gunter and he passed me off ....

I went to see Gunter and he passed me off to Dr. Cochran. I was reluctant but Dr. Cochran promised me a fairytale and delivered a nightmare. I woke up during surgery to the loud yelling of the two doctors. After surgery I looked like a freak. It felt like he glued a brick to my face with all the manipulated cartilage . He ignored the pictures I brought in and what I told him I wanted and just did what he wanted to. It looked like I had a mask on after surgery. One nostril was smaller than the other and ended up collapsing. The opposite side had a bulge on the bridge that never went down. On top of it I got an infection that scarred up, looking like I had buggers in my nose at all times! To think...one reason I went in for a revision was to gain a bit more symmetry ...what a punch in the face now...literally. I honestly felt my life was raped. I am no longer the pretty girl I was before surgery. If I see any of my pre-surgery photos, I cry. my life now is the saddest, darkest, loneliest place you never want to think of. I hope you read this and realize this man does make very bad mistakes. I never thought I would be one of the people with the "bad" surgery, but I definitely am. It can happen to you.

Renten, just checked your profile and saw your pictures , i recognized you you are in dr Cochran before and after gallery . I see your concerns . I hope you realize you are soo pretty before and after . Yes the nose is different but don t be hard on yourself . You are gorgeous . I think you realize by now how risky rhinoplasty is so I hope you won t take anymore risks. I would kill for a nose like yours :) sheer up xxx

Thanks:) I appreciate that. It's just not what I asked for. I wanted more of a finesse rhinoplasty and too much was done. It's so disappointing to spend $9,000 and not be happy with your result. It's important for your surgeon to listen to your concerns. I feel he did what he wanted to do. I do plan on getting a consultation with other rhinoplasty specialist. I'm looking at Dr. Davis in Fl and Dr. Hilinski in San Diego ... We'll see what happens

Believe me . I understand . I thought I was clear during my consultation the last thing I wanted was to touch the tip cartilage or reduce it . My tip was pinched and my nose now just looks too narrow I hate it . I had some complications along the way that made look even worse . So now I m heart broken and scared. I paid a lot ( the trip from my country to the US did cost more than thr surgery). I think having rhinoplasty was the biggest mistake of my life . Hope I can get it fixed one day.

I just think that rhinoplasty is very risky . My nose looks really bad.if it didn t look deformed I don t think I would take the risk again . Best luck to you . Keep us posted on how it goes .did you approach dr Cochran with your concerns and if so what was his opinion ?

I'm so sorry:( i hope you find the right surgeon to fix it:( where are you from? I consulted with Cochran again and he said he would only correct the wide nasal bones but not my scooped bridge. I will keep you in my prayers. Just be strong and keep your head up ..there is hope! I wish you the best!

Bon courage young lady. Yes, I think the best thing to do is to work with your doctor as you plan. My wife had rhinoplasty and I understand how diffult the healing process can . You can also consult another doctor just for a second opinion. Good luck
