I bought a Groupon for a photofalcial. I am now two weeks out from the photofacial and I am very happy with the results.
A word of caution... I would not consider this a "no down time" procedure. My face was swolen and very red for several days. I had the procedure on a Saturday and had to go back to work on Monday. I was embarassed by the way my face looked. Make up could not hide the red marks. It took a week for my face to be what I would consider "presentable".
Now, two weeks out, I am pleased. Overall, skin is tighter and all but one of my age spots has lightened or disappeared completly. I would recommend this procedure, just give yourself a few days before you have to go out, if possible.

I had always wanted to try a photofacial, so I bought a Groupon so a spa to give it a try. The procedure does hurt. I have a very high tolerance for pain, so I would describe it like the rubber band sting others have mentioned. I had a bad reaction on my neck area that turned very red and had several "curling iron" type burns. I had understood this procedure had no "down time". While it is true the pain should not keep you from doing anything, you may not want to go out in public for a couple of days. I was not happy about returning to work with a red face. Make up could not hide it. In about a week, all of the redness was gone and several of my age spots were gone or greatly faded. Only one spot appears to have gotten darker instead of lighter. My skin is tighter and the crows feet are less noticable. I am a 44 year old caucasion woman with fair skin. I am planning my second one soon. I will ask for a gentler setting on my neck and under my chin this time. Overall, I am very happy with my experience.
