Over the years, the flap of skin above my c-section scar from my pregnancies and a twenty pound weight gain, became more pronounced. I spent hours with a personal trainer and adopted a healthy diet. I still had that embarrassing fold visible on my abdomen when wearing yoga pants, swimwear etc. after two years of exercise and weight loss. It was time for a change.
I read reviews online and consulted with friends about procedures and results. I decided I needed a tummy tuck and liposuction and consulted Dr. Farah Naz Khan, MD. in Dallas, Texas. She is exceptional! Please read my review of Dr. Khan! You will want to choose her for your surgeon! After carefully studying my body, Dr. Khan showed me how my muscles had separated from my pregnacies and we discussed the embarrassing fold of skin. She informed me it could all be corrected with a tummy tuck without liposuction. I decided to replace my saline implants (they no longer seemed as full) with silicone at the same time.
Today is my two week anniversary of the new me! I look amazing! I do have one drain remaing but it will soon be removed (first drain removal was completely painless). Dr. Khan says I am still swollen. I would be completely satisfied as I am! Knowing I will look even better makes me ecstatic!
The tummy tuck wasn't as painful as my c-sections. The first few days were difficult but not impossibly so. I never needed anything other than the Motrin prescribed. I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort from changing the breast implants. I am back to most daily activities with only slight pulling in the tummy occasionally.
I anxiously await the removal of the last drain and for the day I no longer need the compression girdle! For the first time in almost twenty years I am looking forward to swimsuit season!

Dr. Khan is absolutely amazing! She takes the time to listen to your concerns and carefully explains your options. She spent more than an hour with me during my consultation. A week before my surgery I had a question regarding my upcoming procedure. I called Dr. Khan's office and spoke with Kari. She informed me it was Dr. Khan's afternoon off, but she would email my question to her. Dr. Khan called me, from her cell phone, within twenty minutes of my conversation with Kari, and explained everything to me. I knew then that I had definitely chosen the best possible surgeon for me! I look absolutely amazing and it's only been two weeks! Dr. Khan's stitches were tiny and my scar already looks great and I haven't even begun the scar treatment bandage yet. Dr. Khan eliminated the embarrassing tummy fold and contoured everything without liposuction. I couldn't be happier with the results! Dr. Khan is an amazingly talented surgeon with a pleasant and caring personality. I highly recommend her to anyone! Dr. Khan's staff is just as attentive and caring as she is. Lyndsey was my nurse during recovery the night following my surgery. She was very patient and attentive and saw immediately to any need I may have had. She carefully explained how to empty the drains and care for my incisions. Betty, her nurse, called me several times during the week following my surgery to see how I was progressing and to answer any questions I may have had. And Kari was always a sweet voice on the phone who immediately organized all of the necessary paperwork and appointments. Dr. Khan and her staff are absolutely wonderful!
