“Wonderful, Amazing, Sincere - Dallas”
Spent: $8,000 in Dallas, TX
Posted 2 Oct 2010
A little over a year ago I had my first nose job, performed by Dr. Bassichis in Dallas. I had wanted this for years and had been to him a number of times for consults years prior and never went through with the surgery. I was nervous and it was costly. Finally, I was very excited to be able to do this. After the surgery my nose began to cave in. After a few months of the swelling going down, my left nostril was caved in, I had a hump in my nose I didn't have before and it drained daily. I was mortified, embarrassed and depressed. During my follow-up visits Dr. Bassichis kept telling me it would get better, etc...and it never did. Finally after months of trying to get him to admit what he had done, he agreed it didn't look right and offered to redo my surgery. Thank you, but no thank you. He had already made my face look worse than what I had in the first place.
I went to my friends nose doctor for a consult, and he wouldn't touch it. He said he did not want to mess with it and was scared he couldn't fix it. This scared me even more. He recommened Dr. C, a respected doctor with a history for correcting other "doctors" mistakes.
I made my appointment with him and was comforted and told exactly what needed to be done to repair what had happened. He was amazing and a artist at his profession. Best part was, he didn't even have to break my nose again. He repaired the collapsed nostril, got rid of the hump given to me by Dr. Bassichis and the drainage stopped. I feel beautiful and my nose works properly. Dr. C gave me my confidence back and was a dream to work with. Also, HE was the one to take off my bandages after surgery, not a nurse. For me, removing the bandages was the most painful part of both surgeries, but when Dr. C did this himself it was smoother unlike an assistant who may not know how painful this can be. I would recommend him to anyone I knew wanting to get rhinoplasty performed.

Thank you for posting your story and photos. So sorry you had to go through what you did. You look great.
I went through something similar, though it took years for my nostril to collapse. Here's my video diary.
