I read the reviews and was a bit nervous but I had the IPL done at my dermatologists office and felt it would be worth the nerves. The overall process hurt a little like I expected. Definite rubber band snaps. Afterward the brown spots got darker and again as expected the 'coffee grounds' just fell off. I had NO downtime like I saw on other reviews. I washed regularly and kept my skin moisturized. Piece of cake. No striping or swelling. I think going to a dermatology office was worth it. It's been 2 wks since then and I am already really pleased. My skin looks healthier. I cannot wait for the second time.
