I finally bit the bullet and had surgery on 15 February. I am 5ft 5inches tall 140 pounds and have gone from a UK 34G to approx UK 34D. Despite them looking like party hats at the moment because of swelling I no longer look like a serving wench but a normal proportioned woman.

There has been very little pain but I didn't anticipate how much the surgery and anaesthetic would knock me out. I am very pleased with the more youthful appearance and light weight. My husband's first word (who thought the procedure was completely unnecessary) was "phwooor" .

My PS was great and thorough and gave me realistic expectations. I asked him to just cut the damn things off and although I was concerned that he wouldn't make me small enough I trusted his judgement and am glad I did.

Hi two weeks in and had steri strips and dressings removed today. What tiny nipples I have! But oh so sensitive. I had a little moment yesterday when I felt they were still a little too large but when i walked into The PS consulting room and saw a couple of zepplins on the screen that were allegedly mine 2 weeks ago I realised that i was being a bit silly (blame the meds). Also PS explained that bruising and swelling will take up to 3 months to go. Im sure that I'm not alone when I say that the things that repulsed me the most and that would reduce me to tears are now my best asset. I'm tempted to do the school run in a bikini despite it being -1.

Thank you. Your pics look amazing! Did the breast reduction make you feel that it was worth turning your life around in other ways i.e weight loss? X

The breast reduction is what got me going on the weight loss.  That was the start of it all for me.  Before my reduction I was not able to exercise without wearing two sport bras.  I bounced all over the gym and it hurt and made me really embarrassed.

Once the breasts were off my waist and my back, neck, and shoulder pain were gone I was totally motivated.

After that I dropped the 70 pounds and then had to clean up the mess...LOL   Good lord what next:)
