I had coolsculpting done 5 days ago. I was pretty shocked to have my fat man-handled like that because I don't even let my fiance touch the leftover babyfat! LOL! So getting my fat squeezed so nonchalantly was surprising.

As far as the procedure...it was initially uncomfortable for the first 10 minutes...on par with bad menstrual cramps. After 10 minutes, the cramping went away and I read a magazine for the next 50 minutes. Once the hour was finished, they removed the large suction device and massaged the area. It looked like a lump of frozen fat covered in bright red skin. I felt slightly queesy when I stood up because I could feel that frozen chunk of flab in my stomach.

Since the procedure, I have had a slightly numbing sensation in that area, nothing too bad. There has not been any bruising or pain. My pants are not fitting as snug in that area, now and the fat seems less dense, which makes the skin sag.

My background...I need to loose 15 to 20 lbs. I am currently a size 12. I had a baby 1 year ago. I am in my late 30's. I did start a healthy eating plan, no soda or junk food, more vegetables and 4 small meals with a small snack and a 15 to 30 minute strength program once I did this procedure. I felt that since I had put money into this procedure, I could help it along with eating healthy and exercising so I can get back down to a size 8. Also, from what I am experiencing, this is helping with the fat, not the slacking skin so I have to exercise to tackle this.

So far, I am ok with the procedure. I don't regret it or the money spent, yet. That will depend on if it works or not! I was exceptionally happy with the zero downtime and minimal pain because I do work full-time. If it works, I feel the cost is relatively cheap for not having to have a surgery and helping me to feel better about myself!

The office where I had my procedure done was fantastic. And if and when I see results, I would recommend them. I will periodically update and I will post before and after photos after two months. I paid for two sessions with the large handle for $2200. I have only done one session at this time and will do the second in two months.

Hi novella -- Welcome to RealSelf and thanks for writing such a helpful review! Your explanation of the procedure itself is the most descriptive I've seen. It probably sounds weird but, even though I know how CoolSculpting works, it never occurred to me that it would feel like a lump of frozen fat in your body. lol

Hope you're doing well post-op and please keep us updated on your progress! I'm curious to see how it turns out for you. :)

Where did you get the procedure done? I am having trouble finding anyone in Tucson who does the CoolSculting procedure.
