Worth It
Spent: $5,000 in Dallas, TX, USA
I had CoolLipo done on my abdominal area. The treatment was comfortable and I would definately do it again! I was picky about who actually did the proceedure, as I work in the medical field. I know that most of the horror stories you hear about, such as on this site, are a result of Poor technique by the doctor and not the device he/she is using,in my case a laser. I also researched SmartLipo and CoolLipo and went with CoolLipo as I wanted my skin tight. I found more information about the CoolLipo wavelength (1320) tightening skin and used for treatment of wrinkles than I did for SmartLipo wavelength (1064). What was really funny to me and confusing at the same time is that on the SmartLipo website they have a laser called the Affirm, under their list of products. When you scroll down, after clicking on Affirm,it reads...And Affirm's newest feature—the 1320-nm MultiPlex technology—targets deep layers of collagen structures for skin laxity and tightening. Even they use 1320 to tighten skin! I think we must look into things for ourselves. I hope this helps someone and that you too will be happy! :-)

Your comments were very helpful for me. I was wondering which Dr did you use. I have looked into Rejuv Med Spa but am not sure if I will go ahead with them. I do know that I want the procedure, but I just want to make sure that I choose a really good Dr.

Has you done this at Rejuve yet? I am looking at going with them.

Katie- I am thinking about getting CoolLipo done through the company Lipo Zap, owned by MedAestetica. sorry for the spelling. I am about your size at 5' 1", 114 and i work out 5-6 days a week, but there are bulges I cant seem to loose! Could you possibly post some before and after pictures? There is a lot more information on this site about smartlipo as opposed to coollipo, and a lot of people had bad things to say about it! I already paid for it, 7500, so im really nervous. The company of course doesnt offer a refund, but at the time i had convinced myself i wanted it so bad i wouldnt want tot back out anyway. Now I feel like an idiot. I'm really worried about looking worse. I don't look bad now and I don't want to regret it. If you could post pictures of your progress I would really appreciate it.

I'm in Dallas and thinking of Cool Lipo. What doc did you use?

I had cool lipo performed on the 14th of Feb. It was on my saddlebags. I weigh around 125 and am 5'6" so I am thin, but my saddlebags were a huge problem for me. I could never find clothing to fit me. It was slightly painful and the leaking of fluid afterwards was frightening. I used over a bag of tampax pads to absorb the leakage, of course this is expected after the procedure. Later the pain was pretty bad. I had to use Vicodin for pain. I could not sit or sleep properly due to the incisions on my rear and sides, three in all. I am still in pain but it is worth it.. I cant believe how much it has changed my appearance. I feel more confident and I can finally find clothes. I would do it a hundred times over. It was a huge success and the pain is worth the results. I have had more pain working out my hips and pain in shopping for pants than this... If you are thin and need a little help do it..... Go ahead.....
