Op over- so far so good :)

Wow, I can't believe that I'm on the other side.
Had my surgery and it was so much easier than what I was preparing myself for.
I was really stressed as I was a half hour late since a road was closed following a traffic accident- the doctor was really ok about it took my photos and went over my plan.
I was prepped for surgery, the staff were kind and professional- they gave me arnica pills to help with the swelling to take before plus a vial to take home with me.

No side effects from anesthesia...woke up and aside from feeling thirsty within an hour I felt pretty fine- no pain, just a little pressure and congestion.
I took a non prescription pain med recommended to me and that eased things. The doctor doesn't use tampons, just a drip pad so I can also breathe through my nose now.
After an hour and a half the doctor came to check on me- he said that everything was done according to our plan - from the first photos I took of myself I think I see a resemblance to the image he created- though it is too soon to know I feel optimistic that it will be good.
am at home with a slight headache- even feeling up to catching up on some work correspondence...

No far no bruising at all...praying it will stay this way...

Hello all,
I've been reading reviews and gotten a better understanding of the procedure and whats involved- thank you all for sharing your experiences, hopes, fear and results no holds barred.
I have surgery scheduled in another two days for my deviated septum + rhinoplasty. Past while I've mostly been just busy trying to get everything in order, wrap up things with work so I can disappear into the recovery phase. A little numb.
Like most of the folks here my nose has always bothered me, a bit crooked, droopy and bulbous tip. I really hate the way I come out in photos. I'm not looking for a drastic change- I want my nose, just with a straighter profile and a more refined tip.
I went to three different surgeons after alot of looking, I came across my chosen surgeon through a friend of a friends referral, I met her and thought that she looked really natural- would have never ever guessed she had surgery. I felt the most comfortable with this doctor's realistic approach and I thought he had good results from the images he showed me, the people all looked like themselves just better and every nose seemed different and adjusted to the persons face. I had a good feeling and decided to go for it.
I scheduled the surgery and I'm hoping for a great result.
Will keep you posted :)
