First of all, I am so pleased and happy with my TT...
First of all, I am so pleased and happy with my TT and liposuction. Choosing Dr. Meadows to perform these procedures was one of my better decisions. I was planning to have liposuction, and or a tummy tuck in the fall of 2014, but my husband was diagnosed with cancer. My husband lost the cancer battle in January 2015. I lost weight during my husband's illness and kept it off. In March of 2015, I started walking daily, and went back to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I lost more weight (25 pounds) and got toned. I lost all the weight that I needed to lose. Unfortunately, I still did not have a flat tummy, and I also had a lot of loose skin.
I did a lot of research on the doctors in the Atlanta area. I got a good feeling about Dr. Meadows. I chose him and have no regrets. His office staff and nurses were so friendly and professional, and always made me feel very comfortable on each visit before, during and after the surgery. Having plastic surgery is a pretty personal thing for a woman to go through. Dr. Meadows and his staff never made me feel self conscious or nervous when I was in his office. I always felt totally comfortable.
Dr. Meadows prayed with me before the surgery. I was really nervous, but that put me completely at ease. I felt completely confidant in him before I was put to sleep. The day after the surgery, I went back to the office for a treatment in the oxygen chamber. It really helped the healing process. It also helped me get over the affects of the anesthesia. I felt so good after the treatment. I could tell such a difference after the treatment.
I must say that I expected the surgery and the recovery to be awful. Boy, was I wrong! I was sore afterwards , and I am still a little tender. But, the only pain I had was from the liposuction. The worst part for me was having the drains in , and having to sleep in my recliner for about 2 1/2 weeks after the surgery. It was not comfortable sleeping in the bed. From the research I did, that is normal though.
I am 5 weeks post op. I have been walking since week 2. Walking has really helped me with the healing process. I am going to go back to the gym on Monday. Dr. Meadows said just to cut my weights in half.
My scar and belly button look great. I was worried how my belly button was going to look after the surgery. From all the reviews I read on many different doctors, many women were not pleased with their belly button after the surgery. I absolutely love how I look. I am healing so well. I am rebuilding my wardrobe. Everything I put on looks great on me. I look so much better than I even expected. After all, I turned 60 about a month after my surgery. I think my body looks better than it has ever looked.
I am so pleased that I made the decision to have Dr. Meadows perform the TT and liposuction. I am so pleased with the results. This has been a difficult year for me, but I have no regrets having the TT. This is the very best thing that I have ever done for myself. I would recommend Dr. Meadows to anyone who is planning to have a tummy tuck, with or without liposuction.
