I had sculptra injected 6 weeks ago and in my 5 week i noticed my face filling out nicely,But now in my 6 week my face has lost all the collagen that sculptra created and my cheeks are back like they were in my 1 week. I dont understand i thought once your bodie started creating collagen you would have it for up to 2 years, I only had it for a few days. I am so disappointed!

Yes i called my doctor and left a message. I hope i will get to talk to her tommorow. I cant forget how excited i was last tuesday when my face was filling out so nicely. Now it is back to the old tired sunken look.. I am so very dissappointed!

Today is my big day ive been waiting for many weeks, I have my third vile of sculptra injected! All the doctors replys have really eased my dissapointment and this past week my sculptra has filled my face out a little again so im excited all over again! Im so glad my bodie wasnt rejecting the collagen what a waste that would of been..I just need more! Doc bring it on today!

One day after my treatment, I am very sore today and my face looks like i was stung by a 1000 bees, very puffy! Back to the waiting game in a couple of days when all this water n swelling go away. I did explain to the Doctor that i cant stand this waiting for results which have been so up and down. The doctor introduced me to a product called radiesse, It has no waiting game with it what you see is what u keep if only for several months. She said i will inject some with the sculptra around the areas of your cheeks that r drawn in the most to give you some of that instant gratification you r begging me for. I go back in july to see if i need a 4th vile of sculptra which im sure i will but hope that will be it...Wish me luck!

She is a great doctor i just think my bodie is rejecting the collagen that was created by sculptra which i didnt know was possible.. I will see her in 2 weeks to see what happened!

Welcome to the Sculptra community. Hmm, I've not heard of it going away so quickly. Did you go back and ask your doctor happened? I wonder if it was slightly diluted. Also please feel free to post a question in our doctor Q&A. Please keep us updated.

she said that it is becuse ive only had one treatment. its going to take 2 or 3 more treatments to get real noticeable results, So what is the keyword for sculptra...Patients!

I really can't see anything clearly from your photos. I can't believe you spent $4500 and think it was worth it. I am getting refirm for $150 per treatment and I do see results but it is very subtle and will share before and after when I get my photos organized.

If it gets too expensive just get it done in Tijuana, Mexico...IM note even kidding...its full of Americans who go down there to get all kinds of stuff done...I've been there many times and its worth checking out.

Jokes aside this is the worsed advice you can give a person! Sorry dont mean to be rude but if you want to mess with your face you want someone who is an expert in this area. Should things go wrong and you did it in Tijuana you want to chase the Doctor in Mexico for compensation? Seems to me very risky but then everybody is different so I think whatever makes one comfortable is ok.

Hi bigwil, you need to give it time. My surgeon told me at least six weeks to start noticing any difference. I actually had 4 treatments altogether over a period of about 5-6 months. After the first treatment you wouldn't have known I had anything done apart from the initial water, swelling which I was warned about. A year after completing my treatment I couldn't be happier, I get compliments all the time about how young I look.If you doctor is telling you 2-3 go with what they are telling you. My surgeon told me possibly 4-5 but after he did the 4th he said that was enough and he did not want my face to be overfilled.

mine only last a day and then my face go back to square one. I used to have juvederm wich cost more less and works better . Im going back to juvederm

I have had my third sculptra session. My doc takes pictures before each session. Before my third sculptra he took another set of pixs. What a difference. So three months and 2 sessions later a real difference. Can't wait to see the difference in the next few weeks.Just give it time Bigwil
It took me approx 12 weeks to see results.

I would want an explanation from doctor if that happened to me. that should not have happened. Did you stick with the same doctor that you had juvederm with? There are a lot of cowboys out there. Make sure you find someone who has a good reputation and who knows what they are doing. You definitely must get answers from the doctor who performed the procedure for you you are entitled. You paid your money and expected results. Sculptra should not have gone in 6 weeks. I have had both Juvederm and Sculptra there are very much the same thing and effetively last for a long time.

Just hang in there bigwil.. sculptra does not work over night It takes a few treatments you will love the finished look..:)

I have 2 weeks left before my 6th vile start to show results but even at this point i am so very pleased with the results...I look so much much more healthy. the 4500 dollars for 6 viles was so very worth it!

Just went for a consult with a dermatologist. She told me she wanted to create cheek bones to pull my face upward. However the first session is two vials -2 thousand. Says I may need 5 or 6 sessions. That's like 12 grand. Really? Why not do a regular face lift and call it a day. Is that a typical price for Florida ??

I know! I had scupltra and thermage done in Miami and it was $5,000. Not that much change. Not worth it.

what did she use on you? i just had sculptra on my cheek bones and chin area cost me $1,000 i will need 3 more treatments

She used sculptra...But i was only seeing those strange results in the early period, Now after my 6th vile im geting more consistant filling though at night im a little less puffy.

I just had my first round of sculptra treatment all went well. next one is in December.. However now im scared i read on a post that someones "face got chubby" from sculptra did anyone else have this problem?

I have had two vials over 6 months.I am really disappointed with the results so far. I am due to get another vial this week. I am bit concerned that the doctor insists in doing the treatments 3 months apart? Is this usual? I am also not happy that he will not take before and after photos? I think this seems strange?

Based on the communities doctor experience, maybe your doctor wants to wait for 3 months between to see how everything will settle before they add more. Did you ask your doctor why he wants to wait?

My doctor has me waiting 3 months also. I have read so many different waiting times but 3 months does not seem out of the ordinary. I had 2 vials 5 weeks ago and do not see any change.....waiting and hoping.

Then you get painful inflammatory nodules, biofilm infection, hospitalization, surgery, disfigurement and chronic immune dysregulation. Sculptra is crap

Dru11, PLEASE PLEASE share more what actually happened? I have a doctor who first recommended Juvaderm but now that and I think it seems very expensive and doesn't sound great from reports but what you are saying is very serious and almost as bad as Awok (Angela) with the fraxel. I am so greatful for this website.
