6 weeks post op

So I am 6 weeks post op today! A little discouraged because the fat transfer to my hip area was unsuccessful ???? and now I need to find fat from other parts of my body to place there... I'm thinking my fat arms and upper back but don't know if that will make for excess drooping skin! I guess I'll make an appointment and see! My scars are itching but nothing unbearable! I still can't sleep on my stomach but I can do a sit up!!! I haven't laid on my hips or side because I was waiting for the fat transfer to settle, but it didn't help! I must say I look better in clothes than I do naked! Thinking about getting a tattoo along thee scar line while The sensation is gone! I do have sensation in one of my nipples! Yippy!!!

After searching and searching I found Dr. Sumanth...

After searching and searching I found Dr. Sumanth Pagadala to fix my saggy breasts, tighten my stomach muscles and remove the excess skin, and liposuction fatty areas so that I may feel like I did prior to having 3 babies. I went in for my consult and knew he was the doctor I wanted to perform my surgery. I paid for it the same day and 2 weeks later was on the operating table.

I followed all pre op instructions, took the prescribed medications and put my body and life in their hands. I was in surgery from 845 until 330 under twilight anesthesia. I did not feel or remember any part of the surgery. I woke up and was greeted by my friend who stayed with me for a few days. This was probably the worst part of the whole experience. I was in pain! I thought I was dying! I was prescribed pain medication (I have a high pain tolerance but the first 3 or 4 days I thought I wasn't going to make it. It hurt to laugh, sneeze, get up, get down.) (drink plenty of water because they can constipate you). Not only was the pain overbearing, but walking like a chimp or hunch back drained me.

I had the drains out of my breast removed 2 days later. It did not hurt. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased at the progress I already saw. I was allowed to shower at this point in time! And those hot showers help alleviate some of the pain! I have a sitting area in my shower so it helped tremendously.

One week later I had the jp drain removed from my stomach. (JP Drains are put in place to removed excess fluid) That was painful but not anything compared to the pain I felt for the first few days. I was more mobile after the jp drain was removed. I kept the area clean, and dry because it was open.

2 weeks later (yesterday)I had the stitches removed from my belly button and any areas where they didn't dissolve. This was a little uncomfortable but not unbearable.

I have been able to drive, walk, and get around for the past few days without feeling like I am going to die. I wear compression garments and abdominal binders per doctors orders. I drink plenty of fluid (H2O) and I've noticed it keeps me from swelling up! Any questions, ask!!!!

Great, great, great doctor. I couldn't have made a better decision. He was realistic when explaining what I needed and everything from the pros and cons, to the surgery, and the recovery. I would recommend him to everyone i know! Everyone in the office was friendly and professional.
