Ok, so I missed my Pre-op appontment on Monday. Woke up 50 minutes after I was supposed to be there. Grrr. Then I rescheduled it for Friday and made that one. I have to talk to the doctor tomorrow because I would really like to be able to fly to my friend's wedding in Florida 4 days after surgery. Might not happen, but we'll see.

I have my health care through the VA. He is the PS they have on staff. He actually only works mondays and has a regular office elsewhere.

That would be a big flight. Will someone be going with you? You will be very tired even if all you are doing is getting on a plane. So be prepared for that and have lots of help!! Good luck!

I am getting so nervous, waffling back and forth...

I am getting so nervous, waffling back and forth between"Do it" and "Don't do it." My Pre-op appointment is at 8 AM tomorrow, September 10th, 2012. I had a small list of questions before finding this site. Now I have a longer, more in depth list of questions. Thanks All!

I am 27, 275 lbs, wearing a 44 DDD bra. I have 5 of the same bra (in different colors) that I can only get at Lane Bryant. The last time I was there, they were being discontinued. So I am definitely doing this at the right time.

I was born with an extra nipple. Then, when puberty hit, my breasts started growing. Only I had twice as much tissue on the side with the extra nipple. By the time I was 11 I had C cups and by 13 I had D cups. Now, one is truely a E size, while the other is a large D/small DD. So the bras I buy have removable inserts. I take the insert out of one side and slide it into the other side and voila! my bra fits.

Now, I first approached getting my BR done about two years ago. The doctor I had at the time didn't beleive me when I said I had a third nipple removed at age 17, even though there is an inch and a half scar on the underside of my right breast and there is still a little tiny bit of darker skin there from the nipple. He also insisted that I just had a little extra tissue on my right side. Needless to say I never saw that doctor again.

I moved about a year ago and started seeing a new doctor. They set me up with a PS about 3 months ago. I like him, he answered all my questions. He decided that it would probably be best if we do both breasts, because the measurements he took did not match in any way, shape or form. I think it would be best to do both as well, simply because I am slightly OCD. If one breast gets perfected (even with scarring), I'll feel weird not having the other breast fixed too.
