Today I had my drain tube removed which I thought might hurt, but honestly was absolutely no problem or pain at all and took all of 15 seconds. Next appointment I get the stitches out.

I had been desiring a tummy tuck since my daughter was born, 26 years ago.  Many women seem to survive the physical stresses of a first pregnancy with little to no visible residual effects.  I, unfortunately, was not one of them.  So, since I was 21 years old I felt that my body was in dramatic need of repair.  Then, much later in life I had another child which did nothing to improve my happiness with my physical appearance.  So you can imagine my excitement at finally getting a “mommy makeover.”  My goal was to have a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck.  I researched many doctors and had several consultations before deciding on Dr. Raskin.  Dr. Raskin examined me and gave me the honest truth.  He did it in as kind a fashion as possible, yet was firm in what could be done for me medically and safely.  He told me he could make my breasts perkier and explained the whole procedure.  In terms of my tummy, he said that I did not have enough loose skin for a full tummy tuck, but he would remove as much skin and fat as possible, as well as tighten the muscle.  At no time did he try to oversell me or persuade me toward anything that was not in my best interest, whether I wanted to hear the limitations of what could be done or not.  Ultimately, I decided that this was the best doctor I could have, as he could be trusted to do exactly what he said would be possible, rather than allow me to expect something that was just not possible and be disappointed later, as happens with so many “plastic” surgeries.
 
The day of the surgery he measured and re-measured me, making certain that he knew exactly what he was going to do once I was in the OR.  I had my surgery 5 days ago and honestly am amazed at how little pain I am in.  Of course I took my pain pills about every 6 hours for the first 3 days, but I feel fine and am moving around.  My breasts already look great and are very perky, my stomach is swollen so I can’t tell how that looks yet, but the scar already looks great.  Plus, and perhaps most importantly, despite the swelling, bruising and incision, my husband has already told me that it looks much better even in its current condition. 
 
After my surgery Dr. Raskin called several times to check on me, even over the weekend.  While I was in recovery he gave my husband his home telephone and personal cell numbers and insisted he call for any reason at all, no matter how seemingly minor. This is above and beyond the kind of care and concern medical professionals today.

I think Dr. Raskin is wonderful and has given me a gift at having the body I hoped for.

Dr. Raskin is a great doctor who takes time with each patient and explains exactly what he can and connot do. He doesn't try to over sell or overcharge. I had my surgery on Friday, September 27th so I cannot state how it all has turned out, but I know for certain Dr. Raskin took good care of me and did everything possible to get me the best possible results.
