4 Day PO/ TT and BAM...Questions & Encouragement - Colorado Springs, CO

I am currently 4 days post-op from a TT and breast...

I am currently 4 days post-op from a TT and breast augmentation. I stumbled on this sight and have thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone's comments, suggestions and very own experiences. I have to say that I am having abut of that feeling of "why the heck did I do this?" Hearing everyone say "hang in there" or "be patient" is such an encouragement!
I could not live without my compression garment, but it still feels so tight! Especially around my thighs, which are swollen as well. My butt and thighs feel HUGE right now :-/

Some of you suggested Vit C, multi vitamins, ice off and on, arnica, etc. I have been taking ibuprofen, percocet only when needed and a stool softener, but the other things mentioned aren't on my list....should I start those things? Any other suggestions? It's not easy for me to be still, but I am trying real hard as I do have to go back to work in 9 days :-(
Thank you all for your honesty and willingness to share! Can't wait to hear more from all of you!

Great review?

It's now been 2 weeks -- I hope you've been feeling better. I also went back to work at day 10 and realized that walking was okay, but hunched over and feeling very tight. I can only say from experience that walking, laying down whenever you can to get the swelling to go in different places so it's not so uncomfortable, and drinking lots of water is what helps. I think the arnica does help and wear the CG as much as possible. If you have access to a good lymphatic drainage massage therapist, you could try that later. The swelling will shift into different places over time -- one day the CG feels okay, then it's more swollen above or below the incision, etc. I think it just takes time Take it easy, cuz things are still going to be tiring (maybe not painful) in the first 6 weeks -- more than you expect.

Happy healing!

Welcome to RealSelf!    I am happy to hear you are home and resting.

Keep up on the stool softener so that you do not get constipated from the pain meds.  That is a very bad feeling!!!

You do want a little movement so please walk around the house every couple of hours.  It's good for you and you won't stiffen up as badly.  Also keep flexing the ankles and feet.

Things will improve each day but it can sometimes feel worse before it gets better.  Hang on tight and keep the positive thoughts coming:)
