i'm 37 with three children, last one was C-section. Im frankly tired of wearing girdles that simply compress my upper stomach and not allow me to breath or have a normal conversation. There are many dresses in my closet that i'm not able to wear because of central obesity (Lol, that's what my Doctor called it). I don't remember the last time i wore a two piece and was tired of covering up each time we're at the beach. So here's to me and my closet...A BRAND NEW ME...First day after surgery i must say and plead to all women to stay in the hospital to get massive drugs intravenously and stay sedated, rest and don't talk if you don't feel like it. Second day post op, i was able to have normal conversation. I also cried for absolutely no reason and was further frustrated because now i was more awake and more aware of my restrictions. Third day, i stayed in bed and got up quite frequently to avoid blood clots in my legs (that thought really scared me). Today is 4day post op and feeling better and less constricted. This procedure is not for the weak of hearts, i was so mad the first two days and was wondering WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO MYSELF. I couldn't breathe correctly, i couldn't sit, couldn't stand for longer that a few seconds and was in PAIN (NO JOKE) and couldn't go to the bathroom after my wonderful IV drug regimen. i know i did a lot all at once, but i have never been intubated and do not wish to do so again, so i opted to do it all at once granted if it was safe. My pressure stayed normal my procedure lasted 6hours and two days post op i tried a pre op shirt on and it was extremely loose and the buttons were overlapping. That i must say felt great inside despite the pain. i am extremely swollen and receiving massages twice a day to help because i do return to work in 12 days.

hi...very nice results from your TT...i have a question..did your ps do a full circumference around your whole waist TT ? or just the front?
im wondering because i had my TT on january 26 and i have these rolls on the sides its not all flat on the sides...just the front...he told me i had to loose some weight and that would go away but he did what he could...
mimsy 20 Mar 2011
He did a full circumference around my waist and the front. It's almost a month and my sides are flattening out a lot. I don't notice any rolls on my sides either.

OMG...you looking GREAT! You definitely got your moneys worth! You don't look like your having any swelling at 7wks...what s your secret?

the garment, i live with it. I still sleep with it and only take it off to wash and to shower...
i really think it works and i can certainly feel the difference when i stay too long without it, i do swell.

Miami6324,
you are absolutely right. I also never take off my garment unless it's being washed. I wear it everyday and sleep with it as well. In addition i put an abdominal binder on top of it to further compress my midsection. i may be overdoing it, but it's working for me.
Ms G 23 Apr 2011
What garment do use? And where did you get it from? I'm looking for a GOOD comfortable one without a panty part, that's doesn't start rolling and folding up.

i got a couple at Marshal's and one at TJMax,I find that i need to buy one every couple of weeks because they become very loose after a while, and since i sleep with them, i get accustom to them fairly quickly. So i wouldn't advice spending a lot of money on those extra expensive ones. I have a full body one that compresses my arms since i had lipo in that area as well as my thighs. So look at Dillards, Marshals and TJMax.
Miami6324 23 Apr 2011
I got one recently at TJMaxx. In the intimate section, it's crouchless, and you don't have to remove it when you use the restroom. I do have at least three and they are each different (braless, with bra and one that's only a corset type for the top portion without a bra), but this recent one was $19.99 and works very similar to the ones i got customed made. never rolls up and compresses in all the right sections.

Is there a website on the tag of the one you bought at TJMax, maybe it can be ordered online?
Ms G 23 Apr 2011
Thanks ladies....I'm going to go to TJ Max and buy one.

You had your work done in Columbia...Fidel Castro Columbia? How did you know to go there? Your own research or recommendation?
mimsy 13 May 2011
Both! A decision like that requires LOTS of research and countless hours talking to people with similar experiences...
Kimmers25 (Community Manager) 13 May 2011

Yep you are going to be causing accidents all over your city.    All good things take time...
