i'm 37 with three children, last one was C-section. Im frankly tired of wearing girdles that simply compress my upper stomach and not allow me to breath or have a normal conversation. There are many dresses in my closet that i'm not able to wear because of central obesity (Lol, that's what my Doctor called it). I don't remember the last time i wore a two piece and was tired of covering up each time we're at the beach. So here's to me and my closet...A BRAND NEW ME...First day after surgery i must say and plead to all women to stay in the hospital to get massive drugs intravenously and stay sedated, rest and don't talk if you don't feel like it. Second day post op, i was able to have normal conversation. I also cried for absolutely no reason and was further frustrated because now i was more awake and more aware of my restrictions. Third day, i stayed in bed and got up quite frequently to avoid blood clots in my legs (that thought really scared me). Today is 4day post op and feeling better and less constricted. This procedure is not for the weak of hearts, i was so mad the first two days and was wondering WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO MYSELF. I couldn't breathe correctly, i couldn't sit, couldn't stand for longer that a few seconds and was in PAIN (NO JOKE) and couldn't go to the bathroom after my wonderful IV drug regimen. i know i did a lot all at once, but i have never been intubated and do not wish to do so again, so i opted to do it all at once granted if it was safe. My pressure stayed normal my procedure lasted 6hours and two days post op i tried a pre op shirt on and it was extremely loose and the buttons were overlapping. That i must say felt great inside despite the pain. i am extremely swollen and receiving massages twice a day to help because i do return to work in 12 days.
