I had my surgery on July 10th, 2012. I am 8 Days Post Op. I have had practically no pain, just very sore, like I over did it on the chest press machine. The worst thing about my whole post op experience has been these drain tubes. My PS said he will not pull them out until my drainage gets to 30cc or less in a 24 hr period. I am at 40-50 cc per day now... My sides are sore from the tubes. I went from at 38 G/H to what I believe is a D. I still have stitches which come out of Friday and hopefully the tubes too, so I wont be able to try on bras and see what size I am besides I am still mildly swollen.

Well today is 14 Days Post Op. Last Friday I had the underneath stitches removed and those pesky drain tubes!! I am free!!! I still have soreness or burning sensation breast wise, but it all seems normal. Its worse when I get to moving around too much. Today I went out on my own (took the kids but I drove myself for the first time) for a few hours to get the kids some of their back to school stuff. By hour 3 I was ready to be home and thankful I was. Scars are fading somewhat, and the girls look better than day 1 for sure. I want to try on bras so badly but I am waiting patiently!!! Good Luck to all you ladies waiting! I am so glad I did this!!

Glad you are doing so well, Kat! There are a few of the girls who just had their surgeries too. Don't hesitate to join in the conversations. It is the best way to get to know the other girls and let them know you are out here. Everyone is great and totally willing to encourage.

I'm dreading school shopping! I can't believe it is so close. The kids are ready for school, but I have enjoyed not having a routine!

Welcome Kats! Thanks for the review. You are still pretty early in your recovery. It really will be at least 3 months before you get a good idea about your final size. There is a lot of settling and softening to happen yet. Good luck and hope you continue to heal well!

Dr Casso and his staff are absolutely wonderful!! I had a few complications the night I went home and called his after hours number and HE answered the phone. He called in medications to help me with my situation, even giving me a number to reach him directly while trying to find a 24 hour pharmacy to help me. Dr Casso has been very professional and personable. I have had no infections and my breast look great so far even only 14 days post op. Everyone heals differently. I do know that with any surgery you HAVE to be idle and inactive for at least 7-10 days just to give your body time to do it's job---healing! I am SOOO impressed with the work Dr. Casso did with me!!

I have been reading alot of posts and I see that most ladies that were a G/H cup and went to a B/C only had around 500 Grams taken off each side... which makes me wonder... My doctor took over 1300 grams per side... I lost 6 lbs off my chest...I am guessing I was really carrying some serious boulders on the "front porch" as someone put it... and I am guessing I am a full D cup still.... recovery is going well. I noticed today in church that the action of clapping makes me VERY sore...but other than that I feel really good!!! I told my husband the 3 rd day after surgery when I was very sick from the anesthesia and meds..."this was the stupid thing i think i've ever done" ... I have to go back on that statement... I am SOOOO GLAD I did this!!! I love my little booblettes! I can't remember a time I had boobs like this.. I don't think I ever had perky boobs EVER!!! You ladies waiting and worrying over your surgery date... Don't worry!! This will be the best thing you ever did!!!

I was a 34H had just under 500gm and am still a DD. I think it is interesting how we have similar sizes and similar removals but end up different sizes.

Today is 3 weeks post op! Went back to the PS and he is pleased with the results, so far!! I AM TOO!!! I have just a little pinky redness to the bottoms of my breasts that he says will clear on its own...soon.... He said to wait at least 2 weeks and then I can wear whatever bra style i want. He said to just be sure that it's not digging on my incision lines...so nothing TOO TIGHT at first. I also got my clearance back to work...so at the end of August my lovely little "vacation" will be over! And it will be back on the 911 Ambulance to save lives and limbs once again! He wants to see me back in 2 months. I am so ecstatic with my new boobs! I am just giddy!!! LOL I have some before pics but haven't taken any afters and I don't know how to get them from my phone to here...LOL. I will figure it out.... may take a while.. but it will happen!! Good Luck and prayers to all who are waiting and recovering!! THIS IS STILL THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE!!

I didn't post a pre-op story here... well because...

I didn't post a pre-op story here... well because I didn't find this place to after!! My story is the same as most... I had no boobs thru 6th grade and then in 7th grade, i woke up a C-cup... Literally.. I never owned a B-cup bra.. I went from a stretchy A cup to a C cup... sigh... by my senior year i bounced between C and D. I was a DD when I got married at 22/23... First child, nursed in a size F bra, then back to a DD, but probably need a DDD. Second child nurse in a H-cup, and back down to a DDD stuffed... but then as I grew older it seemed as my weight fluctuated... I would get smaller but my boobs got bigger.. I had a 38 G sports bra that was industrial strength so to speak... but probably needed an H or I... If I was being honest.... I never could find clothes to wear... any dress that I own is an A line dress 4 sizes too big to accomodate my boobs. This past year I had to buy a 3X button down shirt to just contain the girls... I had had enough. I had a consult before then with my mom's PS, She had BR 15+ years ago, but he didn't take insurance anymore and wanted 10K usd. That was depressing. Then in March my best friends mother had PS and my best friend said my mom loves this PS, you should check him out. Sooo, I did and he took my insurance and within 48 hours I had approval for surgery. I scheduled the surgery for July 10th. I showed up, they took me back, I had to put on the Hairdryer gown, special thigh high socks, got my IV started and waited. PS surgeon came marked me up and said see you in a few minutes. Anesthesia met us in OR but outside the actual suite. He said, "here's your cocktail" and that is the last thing I remember til I woke up in recovery.... trying to rip off the dryer gown I was HOT!!! and then I got sick.. UGH!!! I recovered for approximately 1 1/2 hours before they took me to my room! Stayed over night with a few minor complications with nausea. I ate breakfast and lunch and the doctor came removed my bandages, said everything looks good. The nurse reapplied my bandages and I was discharged to home. No post op surgical bra... just orders to stay on my back and see the doctor in 3 days. Drain the drains as needed. and then the rest of the story is above!

Don't be scared! You will be so happy when it's over!! Just remember. You have to be still for at least 7-10 days that means at home no matter how good you feel. I believe it's essential to a great recovery!!!

Sounds as if your recovery is going very nicely and without much trouble. Congats on that with all the stories to the contrary you are so fortunate. Can't wait to hear how each day is progressing for you and can't wait to see pics if/when you are ready to post! 9 days and counting for me.........ughhhh terrified!!

Well I am ALMOST 6 weeks post op...ok ok..5 weeks...

Well I am ALMOST 6 weeks post op...ok ok..5 weeks 2 days... I am so ready to get back to the "gym" and start jogging and doing my workouts!! I did bite the bullet and mom and I went to Victoria's Secret. I bought 2 bras. 1 that is wireless and 1 with wire. BOTH GORGEOUS!! I am still swollen so i was fit with a 36DD and a 38 D, go figure.... the one salesgirl there had had breast surgery and assured me that my breasts will probably change alot over the next 6 months and said not to buy too many right now. But 2 HOOKS LADIES!! OMGoodness!! OMGoodness!!! I have been behaving and i have only worn the wireless... and about 5 hours is all i want of that...before i get a bit sore. which makes me wonder if I am going to be able to tolerate a full 24 hour shift with a bra on.... sigh... Might have to find some comfy sport bras.....to wear... anyways... I'm feeling great and the girls are looking good! I seriously need to take some post op pics.. .Hope everyone is doing well!!

Welllllll...it's been a while....I went back to work at the end of August and life has been SOOOO Busy!! I am back on the ambulance full time and this time of year is UBER busy for us. I am all healed up, the scars are fading nicely, and the girls are all soft and squishy again! I have a couple little spots that are numb on the surface but have sensation underneath. It's kinda hard to explain but it's like I have an itch, I scratch the skin but the message doesn't get to the part that itches.. LOL. It's been an experience. I am still ecstatic that I chose to have this surgery. Everything is so much easier and more comfortable. I am exercising again, currently torturing my self with Shaun T's Insanity and also back at Tae Kwon Do working towards my next belt, which is purple. I also signed up to run the Cheveron Houston Marathon 5K event this January. I hope everyone is healing nicely etc! Later!

My best friend's mother used him for a breast reduction and body lift and told me about him. He and his staff make you feel very comfortable!! I would recommend him and his staff to anyone!!!
