I think breast augmentation is a great way to improve your appearance. Do your homework! I was not well informed on the amount of pain I would feel getting silicone under the muscle with the incision being under the arm pit. I have also had trouble shaving under my arms since surgery. Also do not go to a surgeon that is not a good communicator, I don't care how good he/she is. I would do it again, just with a surgeon that I was more comfortable with.

I had silicone implants March 09 (under the arm). One was higher than the other. It was moved down in Nov 09 (under the arm again). My surgeon cut out an inch below my inframammary fold, but after the surgery I didn't want it to fall into the area he cut out, it would have been too low. Now the implant has fallen into the area he has cut out and now I have a bubble and it is lower than the other and its uncomfortable. Is it to early to have this repaired or can I even have it repaired? It would have been perfect if he hadn't cut out lower than the fold. Please advise. My surgeon's ego gets in the way of communication.

Great review?

My rating:

In my opinion his ego was in the way of seeing my problem with an implant over an inch higher than the other. He did repair the problem but has over corrected and now one implant is over an inch lower than the other he did this by surgically making my inframammary fold an inch lower.

It certainly can be frustrating when the outcome is not what you expected. The pictures are helpful. It appears that the right implant has fallen below the natural footprint of the breast. The treatment would be to sew off that space, so that the implant lies where it should. Post-op you will need to wear a bra day and night to help support the stitching. I find it difficult to approach this type of problem from a distance, so the surgeon may very well need to make an incision under the breast. I would wait about 6 months from the last operation. I agree you should go back to the original surgeon and express your concern about him not communicating everything you feel he should. Good luck!

Breast implants are bad!!!!!!!!!!!1 I am not a plastic surgeon but i have done TONS of research!! read the reviews on this site!! Almost every woman who had them complained of some type of problems even when they said the results were supposedly good. The science of breast implants has not been, and may never be perfected. there are always problems that must be corrected but often reoccur! if you are having pain you should get them removed. Your case if proof that breast implants are bad and damaging to the body. good luck

Hi there- I'm sorry you did not get the outcome you were hoping for and that you have not had a good experience. I do think the problem you are experiencing can be improved or corrected, but would recommend waiting a few more months before proceeding with this, in order to maximize the chances of succeeding. I also would suggest you try returning to your surgeon and explaining your frustration with the outcome and your perception of his poor communication with you. I know I would not like to hear that any of my patients thought these things about me and would try very hard to make them happy again. If he still does not make you feel comfortable, wait a few months and then seek another opinion. Make sure you find someone who does a lot of this type of implant corrective surgery.

I did have an appointment with him yesterday. I told him this correction he has made was not good. He said he would give me an estimate on fixing it again. He also believed if he were to fix it, it would be higher than the other one again. I fully believe he is wrong. I will just move on. How long do I need to wait before I have this corrected? And thank you for your reply.

I would give it at least 6 months from the last surgery before trying to correct it.
